July 30, 2004 -- BOSTON — It was planned with the precision of a military operation — but the drop of 100,000 red, white and blue balloons for John Kerry went so horribly wrong that the convention producer screamed out the F-word over national TV. "Balloons. What's happening, balloons? There's not enough coming down. All balloons. Where the hell — there's nothing falling. What the f- - - are you guys doing up there?" shrieked the producer, Don Mischer.

The live feed was carried over CNN, and Internet maven Matt Drudge quickly posted a request for anyone who'd taped the expletive undeleted to send him an audio file — within minutes he had it posted on his site.

Heheheh. Seriously though, if Kerry fails to handle a ski photo-op, a bicycle ride, a harmless trip to NASA, and a balloon drop that was planned several months in advance, how can this goofball run the country? He shows poor judgement in his own abilities and the abilities of his subordinates. He even shows poor grace, blaming others when he falls off a ski or bicycle, or when he's caught in a goofy photo. Sizing this 'man' up, I would not hire him to work in a fast food restaurant. Could you imagine the trouble he would cause? As a cashier. Or as a cook. But to be the top executive over tens of millions of employees with agressive union interests, forget it.
