You know, it would just seem to me that those most likely to know the proper spelling of KoolAid would be those who drink it on a regular basis.

Or kids.

Whic only goes to prove what kind of people post on that website.

By the way, take a look at post #76 on this thread for a BIG laugh:

Great idea to appoint Giuliani as terrorism czar NOW.
(But can we borrow him in 2006 to kick Hillary out of the Senate?)

Sorry, but Republicans are forbidden to do or say anything in a campaign that might help them win the election.

I was thinking that myself.

As a Crusader, and not a pious wimp, I believe I can both advance and protect my conservative agenda, and yet still maintain my values.

Politics is not for the meek or weak-hearted.

The GOP needs to hire me.

I will kick the motherphuking daylights out of the Socialists, yet, lower taxes too.

For the children.

A few weeks back when the proposal to draft rules for postponing the election in the event of an attack was raised, our faculty listserv went into hysterics. Numerous people were convinced that it was all an attempt by the President to stoke fear, and that we should publicly demand that the White House announce that under no circumstances would the election be postponed. The very first message, it will surprise few to learn, invoked the Reichstag fire.

I agree wholeheartedly Dawn.

What the Looney Left is only just realizing is that since 911, this country is all about security, security and nothing but security.

Even though the lefties might not agree, the American people are NOT total morons. 911 taught us a powerful lesson. WITHOUT SECURITY, ALL THE LIBERAL PROGRAMS ARE WORTHLESS! Who cares about "gay marriage" when there are people in the world who want every American on the planet DEAD (yes, liberals too!). We know which side has been doing their damndest to cut military funding and reduce our forces for the past 50 years.

In the event of another attack before the election, you'll see a 25% Bush landslide. Security, security and nothing BUT security.

Every conservative or independent voter and about 50% of Democrat voters in this country is going to step into the voting booth and what they're going to see before their eyes is those buildings coming down and ordinary, everyday Americans leaping from 100 story buildings, especially just a month or two after the anniversary of 911.

I think it's going to be a major victory for President Bush personally. 10% spread at least, even without nader.

Godspeed and GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Interesting.

The truth being different, that security threats are real, that our very lives are being pursued as we write, should be sobering enough.

There are people in California and New Mexico that are alive only because of a recently-thwarted attack.

But it is an attack which has been postponed, not canceled.

That these targeted people are going about their lives today completely unconscious of the threat speaks to the character of George W. Bush.

To keep America working and free from fear, and to prevent terrorists from winning, President Bush is willing to sacrifice his reputation and his presidency.

Like a father bravely protecting his children, President Bush is resented by the petty and spoiled 'rats too naive, selfish and foolish to know better.

That those whose lives have been saved may even vote against his presidency, one that works so hard to keep them alive and to keep the terrorist enemy at bay, is sad, profound and sobering.

It is up to the rest of us to get the message out on behalf of this monumental and courageous man.

The shame is that we can only have him for 4 more years. What happens to us after that?

Think about those who are alive today because of a prevented attack.

Certainly, they don't know.

It might even be you.

I'm reminded of a scene I once witnessed:

While traveling, I was sitting high up in a downtown hotel window.

It was a December morning, and a winter storm had covered the street below - it was nearly impassable.

An older woman in a fur coat carrying the spoils of a morning of shopping was attempting to cross the street.

She stood patiently, well short of the center line in the middle of the southbound lane, looking north while waiting for a break in the busier northbound traffic.

As I sipped my O.J. and took in the panaromic view, I was horrified to see a car spinning on the ice and snow to the south.

The car was hurtling out of control in the southbound lane, just 50 yards ahead of the woman still standing in the street.

As she waited patiently, looking north for her opportunity to cross the northbound lane, she was oblivious to the imminent danger unfolding around her.

Just as the car, now sliding sideways, was about to reach her, and as I braced for the impact, a break in northbound traffic suddenly emerged.

Off she went, across the street, daintily walking in the deep snow in fur-trimmed boots.

The sliding car missed her by less than a yard as it careened another 100 feet past, resting harmlessly in the southbound lane.

The driver slowly straightened the car and slinked away.

I watched the woman walking, transfixed. She entered a car in a parking lot across the street and drove on.

SHE NEVER LOOKED BACK.

She never knew.

I imagine she returned with her shopping spoils and re-entered her life with her family.

No one but me, and possibly the driver, knew she should have died that day.

Imagine - how many times have our own lives been held in the balance, and we didn't know?

We can't ask the victims of Madrid, Bali or Riyahd. They're already dead.

The case for war in Iraq is lost on the Liberal left.

But I wonder, have they ever tried to understand?

It is an uncontested fact that radical Muslims have declared war on the United States.

Their goal is not economic. They don't want land. They have stated in clear terms - they want us dead.

If you are Liberal, and you dispute this simple fact, I urge you to investigate NOW the words and manifestos of radical Islam, as written by their leaders.

A simple google.com search will get you started.

So now to answer: Why Iraq?

Iraq under Saddam supported Al Qaeda. Another undisputed fact and conclusion of the 9/11 Commission.

President Bush has never claimed Iraq was involved in 9/11. But Iraq did support Al Qaeda, and Al Qaeda has vowed to destroy America.

After 9/11, President Bush rightly declared the world changed.

If any state supported or financed terrorism against America, harbored terrorist groups, made threats against America, that state was going to be considered a terrorist.

Iraq was exactly that.

President Bush gave Saddam ample warning, and so too the United Nations, that Iraq's days were numbered if they didn't change course.

Saddam the egomaniacal terrorist dictator chose his fate, and President Bush chose to preserve ours.

I could care less if Saddam had 1 or 1000 missiles, killed 100,000 or 1,000,000.

President Bush rightly eliminated one of the most vial and dangerous regimes that ever inhabited Earth and threatened America's very survival.

Blame Bush for this courageous act at your peril.

FYI on another thread we decided to spread the Guiliani idea by emailing the Bush Cheney campaign and contacting our Republican congressmen. Please take the time to do the same if you can. Thanks!

Great idea! I'll e-mail the Bush campaign tonight.

(Of course, the dems will whine that Bush has politicized national security).

I've seen nothing but smiles and upbeat messages from Pres. Bush. Cracks me up to see the scowling and miserable Edwards and Kerry accusing the pubbies of negative campaigning. To them, bringing up Kerry's record is negative. Hmmm. They have a point.
