Considering that Kerry refuses White House intelligence briefings and says he is relying on his own people, I'd like to know who those people are and what information they have. Can we blame him if there's an attack? After all, he hasn't warned us.

He didn't have to get them from the White House because he WAS getting them from Sandy Berger. Just look at his December, February and March speeches.

You'll see the tone was "someone in the know".

There were threads about two weeks ago. He took some WH briefings in the earlier part of this year and then refused them when the recent AQ threat was issued. He said it was because "why would I want to get briefings from the same CIA that led us into war incorrectly" or words to that effect.

Whatever reason he offers is bs. The real reason is because he wants to be inoculated against any kind of blame or responsibilty, however indirect, if an attack happens. "What do you mean, why didn't I, as a presidential candidate and senator, call for more security at those locations? I didn't know anything about that chatter or those warnings. I never got that information. I wasn't in those meetings." Etc.
