WASHINGTON — The government provided details Sunday of new intelligence it had obtained that led to the increased threat level against financial institutions, including several specific buildings.
A senior intelligence official described the details only on condition of anonymity. He said it was the most extraordinary detail he had seen in 24 years of intelligence work.

— Details about specific security checkpoints inside buildings, including a tidbit that people turned left after passing one checkpoint.

Citicorp Center, "One of the most successful urban schemes in New York in the 1970's"(Dennis Sharp), is located at 601 Lexington Avenue, between 53rd and 54th Streets. The following article is dedicated to this 280 meter high structure.
The Citigroup center, as the Citicorp Center is also referred to, was designed by Hugh Stubbins & Assoc and was finished in the 1977. This 59-floor building with 102,200 m2 of usable office space is recognized throughout the world, due to its unusual 45-degree roof originally planned as a solar collector. The curtain wall panels are lined with double-glazed reflective glass and heat-reflective aluminum panels enclosed in aluminum frames. In 1978, William LeMessurier discovered that the buildings bolted joints were too weak to resist the wind loads in New York. A construction group was hired to try and repair the fragile structure over the next three months. The document showing the skyscraper's mistakes was called "Project SERENE" and stands for "Special Engineering Review of Events Nobody Envisioned". In any case, there is nothing SERENE about an unforseeable event like a terrorist strike. Not good!
McInerny on Fox is saying that the capture of this goober is the source of the detail. Hard facts that it is? No. Speculation on his part.
