For many, John Kerry’s salute and “reporting for duty” remark at the Democrat National Convention was a trite gesture; it was a feeble attempt to suggest he was at the public’s service, rather than eagerly seeking political power on his own initiative. Unconvincing and flaccid, it bespoke of a sheep attempting to don wolves’ clothing, rather like the Democrat Party has been trying to do with its recent embrace of veterans so many of its members once shunned as “baby killers”.
The strange Kerry salute reminded others of a more quixotic parallel: for fans of the comedy / sci-fi programme, “Red Dwarf”, John Kerry’s curious salute was rather like that of a pompous character on the programme named Arnold Judas Rimmer. Like Kerry, Rimmer had a habit of occasionally doing just such a salute, merely for the purposes of show. However, the parallels between this insipid (and more than occasionally irritating) fictional character, and Mr. Kerry, go further. Indeed, one could call John Kerry the Arnold Rimmer Candidate.
“Red Dwarf” is the name of a spacecraft as well as the show. Set 3 million years in the future, this vast ship is manned only by Rimmer, an idle scrounger from Liverpool named Lister (self described occupation: “bum”), an android named Kryten, and a humanoid creature which evolved from the ship’s cat. Rimmer is nominally the senior officer, a fact which the audience is never allowed to forget.

Kerry will go down in history as just another self-absorbed, delusional a**hole............. here's hoping no one feels sorry for him after he kills himself after his election demise. He's just a worthless, fraudulent pretender (not to be redundant!)....... and a pretty crappy film maker, if those lame Vietnam re-enactments are any clue!!!!
I am no military buff so I am very curious on Mr. Kerry's medals. Here is my question, is it common for some one to get so many medals in such a short time? and to have full function of every limb? When Kerry got back to America from Vietnam he was not even limping or bandaged, is this possible?
If I thought people would get it, I would put up a $ foot by eight foot yard sign reading "Kerry=Rimmer" or "John Kerry is a smeghead."

You know the terms “The Red Dwarf” and "Rimmer" just works is sooooooo many ways for Kerry.... by the way does the term "a Rimmer" carry the same meaning in the UK as it does in the US?
