Prosecute her to the full extent of the UCMJ. Nothing more, nothing less.
Anyone know what "camouflage military dress" is?
If as you say, SHE didn't have anything to do with any dead prisoners, the I am correct in evaluating her case saying, "no one is dead."
In terms of hurt. I'm sure we can all make a case for the mental anguish of having panties on your head, having your genitals exposed, etc. Perhaps I missed a report on physical torture, and I'm willing to admit that. But...my intention in saying "no one was hurt" is to emphasize that physical torture was inflicted on no one.
So, I repeat. No one was hurt; no one is dead.
Of course, this relates to the case of Pvt England.
If I remember correctly, the insurgents mortared or rocketed Abu Ghraib prison about a month before the scandal broke and some two dozen were killed.
The dead prisoners I know of were killed by their own comrades.
The Courts Marshal judge can give her anything up to 38 years. I think when it is over you will find that she doesn't get much more than 3-5 years.
Oh get real, his execution had nothing to do with this issue. They would have killed him no matter what. That is what those murderers are all about, killing. They don't need an excuse.
That amount of time for embarrassing the enemy is out of line.
However, if people are going to do something that they know is wrong, they shouldn't take pictures of themselves doing it.
That deserves to be said to our PC government again...and again.....
Meanwhile another band of ME "musicians" grounded a flight for acting suspicious and of course were let go to try again most likely.........
Our country's consistency for crimes is a light unto logic.../ Sarcastic rant
And for all you Lindsey bashers who say she should have gotten more since she damaged our country....did not Klinton damage our country even more?? And he is a free man. So get off your hypocritical high horses.
Was wondering when someone would finger the true culprits behind the prison "scandal." The emasculation of our once-proud military forces, by The Clintons and their ilk set the stage for it. The liberal media produced and directed this shameful bash-America fest.
Poor darling is flat ugly - the rumor is that her mother fed her with a sling shot.
The only harm done to this country was our willing media,
in an attempt to slander Bush, aired this non-scandal for months,
telling the world we are jerks,
while ignoring the beheadings and burning of Americans and posting them on bridges and throwing stones at them as the real atrocities.
This is a non--scandal, the totrture and murder of Americans and other foreigners in Iraq by the terrorists is the real atrocity, and our willing press ignored that just to make Bush look bad.
That is the only harm done here when all these people did was put panties on prisoners heads and parade them naked in the cell block to humiliate them before interrogation so they would reveal where the next bomb was hidden.
The actual harm done in this scandal was commited by CNN, not Lyndie England.
Yep ~ the Sgt. that was there with her, knocked her up.
That's the first thing I thought of too.
Well I hope the infant will get good care. Otherwise, mom need to shutup! and take her medicine.
I guess she just got all caught up and excited seeing all those nekked Iraqi guys. :)
heh... so much so she had smoke cigarettes in the pics!
Very relaxing ~ if I remember correctly. :)
I agree, stupid and humiliating in cases where it was probably unnecessary most of the time, but 38 potential is waaaay too much ...
"The dead prisoners I know of were killed by their own comrades."
At LEAST one died during "questioning".
She's getting more time than Lt. Calley for putting a leash on an Islam-O-Fascist.
I will never understand our crazy society that insists women are equal to men in strength and toughness and then expect those same women, in the armed forces, to behave like Grace Kelly in "To Catch A Thief."
