I've read it and I haven't changed my mind. Sorry. I still think it was a foolish move to invade Iraq. I don't think it's helped the War on Terror and I don't think it's made the world safer.
I agree that many of the secondary benefits have been welcome. No-one can say that putting the Hussein boys on a slab wasn't a great move and it always feels good to derail a gravy train.
However, I still don't believe that the primary aim; to win the War on Terror, has been achieved or will be achieved through tactics like this.

It wasn't foolish to invade Iraq, it was the smartest idea that anybody evere came up with, and the world is definitely on a path that will allow it to be safer ( unlike the previous path of the Clintons that allowed dangers to build and build without being handled).
I don't know why it is so hard to see the many benefits of what we did. At a minimum the old saying "offense is the best defense" applies in spades when we are talking about shadowy terrorist networks and countries developing WMDs.
