August 4, 2004 -- New Jersey real-estate mogul Charles Kushner wants to cop a plea on charges he hired a high-priced call girl to have a motel tryst with a witness against him, and videotaped the steamy session, a court document reveals. Kushner, a top fund-raiser for New Jersey Gov. Jim McGreevey, waived his right to a speedy trial because of ongoing talks between federal prosecutors and the defense team, the document says. "Plea negotiations are currently in progress and both the U.S. and defendant desire additional time to enter the plea in court, which would thereby render trial of the matter unnecessary," says the document, signed by U.S. Magistrate Judge Ronald Hedges.

who cares?
jacob had sex with his daughter in law... Christ's ancestors were the result of several immoral relationships. David's grandma, rahab was a prostitute... who cares??? and David was in the line of Jesus, the Christ.
this obsession with moralisitic judging of every body else's sexual behavior is counter productive. the impeachment of bill clinton over monica was NOT about sex.... it was about lying under oath. WE conservatives need to get over it.
OTher people's sex lives are NONE of our business unless it directly interferes with their public performance of their duties.
I dont' care if McGreevy was doing IT with a transvestite lawnmower, wearing a miniskirt and a silk thong.
The only folks who stress over such sexual details of another person, are perverts themselves. It's none of our business unless WE paid for it with our tax dollars... or it occured on the "people's" property.
this religious morailty play over every "indiscretion" of a a political friend or foe, is a waste of emotional and intellectual energy.
I just don't care.

Did you read the article?
It's not about sex, it's about obstruction of justice.

Were you being sarcastic?
Kushner's not a politician; he's a businessman. He was under investigation by the U.S. Attorney's office for tax evasion and violating campaign finance laws (i.e. paying bribes). In the course of the investigation, he sent a hooker to his brother-in-law and accountant in law to try to videotape them having sex with the hooker and use the tape as blackmail so that they lie to the U.S. Attorney. The accountant passed; his brother-in-law took the bait. Kushner then sent his goons to Canada to mail the tape to his own sister's house, violating countless federal, state (and potentially Canadian) statutes in the process.
This isn't "just about sex". It's about buying political influence, lying to investigators, and trying to blackmail others to obstruct justice. These are serious charges against one of the most politically connected developers in New Jersey. And guess which party he has ties to?

The governor's real name is Jim McGreevy. Republicans in New York and New Jersey call him McGreasy or McGreedy because, well, that's what he is --- one of the most corrupt politicians to run the state of New Jersey in some time. Kushner isn't the first close McGreedy associate to get caught up in a scandal.
I have a feeling McGreedy's going down as a result of Kusher's plea.

Guess which party? Good question.
For sure the media is not going to report that Kushner donated $1million to the DNC, and has financed our least favorite politicans like Hillary and Bill Clinton, and Torricelli.
Adam has the FEC page that lists all of Kushner's Dimbocrat donations.

"I have a feeling McGreedy's going down as a result of Kusher's plea."Yup. Kushner (aka "Mr. Bundle") isn't going to do 20-30 for nobody. He'll get 5-7 and serve up McGreedy on a platter. Maybe some other Rats too. McGreedy's No. 1 aide is under indictment as I recall as well. "State Official No. 1" in the indictment is McGreedy, and he is caught on tape dropping a coded bribe word with a developer wearing a wire. "Machiavellian", he is not. ;^)

Saw that. Who would have thunk-not the expected, that's for sure. I feel for his wife and kids and will not be surprised if he has more problems in the criminal realm, as noted above...

I doubt the state of New Jersey would send him to prison.

All indications are that Kushner's copping a plea. I'm sure the U.S. Attorney for New Jersey isn't agreeing to this out of the goodness of his heart. And Kushner will get jail time.
I said it on 8/4 and will repeat it today --- Kushner has the goods on McGreevy. Look for an indictment. McGreevy's "courageous" coming out is nothing more than a cynical attempt to gain sympathy for him once the chips fall. Even the Slimes isn't buying it.

"Moralistic judging of everybody else's sexual behavior." Well, I guess your moralistic judging is okay, right? I'm glad we got that cleared up. Btw, mean people suck! But don't call me mean. It must be like this: Being right in our own mind justifies moralistic judging. Get over yourself you worthless excuse for a human being! In my opinion, of course.

Just can't stand being shut out of other people's dirty laundry eh? You worthless excuse for a lofty what?
