Science isn't supposed to have a "public interest". Science is supposed to describe what is and if possible the why's and wherefore's.
This means that psycology is not "science" at all. They are embracing the notion that its ok to be gay, that its a normal state of being. I would note that a person born with a physical deformity might be able to function at levels expected of a full bodied individual, but that does not make him normal.

This organization has been captured by zealots who promoted the views of sex maniac Alfred Kinsey, persuaded the deluded Supreme Court to flood unsuspecting America with pornography, ruined countless lives by sanctioning divorce, devastated our criminal justice system with their crackpot ideas, and encouraged the public at every turn to abandon God and traditional morality.

There are plenty of psychologists with common sense - - why don't they start a rival group?
