Unfit for Command : Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry
Just ordered my copy. It's moved up from #7 to #3 in Amazon's sales rank.
If we can push this book to the top of the bestseller lists, the mainstream media may not be able to bury it.
It was up to #2 last week too, right after Drudge broke the story
"My name is Steve Gardner. I served in 1966 and 1967 on my first tour of duty in Vietnam on Swift boats, and I did my second tour in '68 and '69, involved with John Kerry in the last 2 1/2 months of my tour. The John Kerry that I know is not the John Kerry that everybody else is portraying. I served alongside him and behind him, five feet away from him in a gun tub, and watched as he made indecisive moves with our boat, put our boats in jeopardy, put our crews in jeopardy... if a man like that can't handle that 6-man crew boat, how can you expect him to be our Commander-in-Chief?"
-- Steven Gardner
The above quote was from a press conference given at the National Press Club in Washington on May 4, 2004. You may view Stevens comments at the following web site. Just scroll down to Stevens picture and click on it.

Searching through that web site, you will find 250 men who served on Swift boats, including the entire chain of command above Lt. Kerry, agree with Steven Gardner that Kerry is not fit to be Commander-in-Chief. That compares to the 13 crew members who support his candidacy.
Tommy Franks and 9/11 report are topping it now. #3 is very good

One of Kerry's supporters lied the other day in saying Kerry was shot. Goes to show you what lengths those who support him go to in trying to build him up. He WAS NOT shot. At least one of his crewmates is a blatant liar.
I predict that once "Unfit for Command" hits the racks and gets assimilated by J.Q. Public, we'll see Hanoi John's numbers go where they should be now, rock bottom. Of course, the libretard media will poo-poo it but those of us in "fly-over" country know the deal.
"FLUSH the JOHNS."
I agree. Having two of the top three books being either flattering to Bush or critical of Kerry is a nice change. One that I hope will last.
Franks was great on Hannity yesterday!!
These guys should do a booktour event ont he deck of the Intrepid in NYC during the GOP convention..
John: "Unfit for Command "
Theresa: "Unsafe at any speed "

BINGO!! All you really need to know about the french one.
I will be looking for this book in the Navy Exchange.
It is too bad it had to come to this, by Kerry choosing to use the cloak of military service in Vietnam and a created hero image to advance his personal career, as he did in 1970. Most military are loathe to speak ill of other vets. Kerry has proven to be a great exception to this unwritten understanding.
How much more honest for the party and the man had Kerry campaigned, like Dean, for a peace ticket - on the backs of his fellow "Vietnam Veterans Against the War"- whom he used when it suited his purpose in 1971. Funny how they all seem to have fallen silent as Kerry ignores them to play the war hero. Instead Kerry seeks to undermine the military leadership of GWB in our ongoing war on terror by constantly and arrogantly touting his 4 months aboard a swift boat in the deltas of Vietnam.
Our local talk show host, here in Boston, Pat Whitley is speaking about this now. He has really been on top of the stories about Kerry's Viet Nam service. He's had many of the vets against Kerry on the show.
RVN bump!
In fact, maybe we should stop referring to him as "French." at least the French can make a decision.
Well then how about Jacques Chirac's dumber brother?
Kerry truly is "The Frenchurian Candidate"! The French certainly are capable of making decisions. The trouble is....they are always on the wrong side. (ala John Kerry).
Bingo!
