Oh let me go, let me go, let me go, blubber
You're too fat, you're breaking my back,
Oh please reduce, your caboose, if you please, Blubber
Pound for pound your just too much for me
When you had your, appendix, removed at last,
They didn't know whether to operate or blast.
Homer and Jethro, 1959
Cranio-recto inversion is that pictures' diagnosis.
Last weekend, I was at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. In one section there was a video of California performers and when Linda Ronstadt was shown, I blurted out "Baby you're no good." Given the location I was prepared for a negative reaction, but much to my pleasant surprise, everyone around me laughed.
I don’t keep up much with Linda Ronstat but I DO keep up with facts about thyroid disease. I don’t know how much it affects her actions but - first - MORE than 3% of the population has thyroid disease - many doctors that really pay attention to the PATIENT instead of lab values say it’s more like 10-20% and there are a number of reasons for this. Additionally Hashimotos can actually cause antibodies to cross the brain barrier and cause real problems with the brain but this is rare.
Hashimotos is NOT a case of NOT BEING ABLE TO PUSH AWAY from the table - THAT statement was ignorant. Many people with the hypothyroid condition don’t get proper treatment due to the ignorance of doctors and if you are low it can be extremely difficult to lose weight - I know because it happened to me. If you think that someone who is over 5’9” tall, is forcing themselves to exercise and take walks and eating 1400 calories a day of whole foods and doesn’t lose any weight or even gains is at fault and doesn’t have some sort of problem - well then you are not very informed. Once I got a good doctor that is INFORMED (they are rare!) and got on the dose of natural thyroid hormone that was right for ME and not a lab test I lost the weight doing the exact same thing I was doing when I was moderately overweight. And it’s not because I’m on too much thyroid - I’m not hyper and at one time in my life I was hyper and didn’t lose anything! (autoimmune thyroid disease can cause thyroid function to go up and down for years and it CAN cause depression, anxiety and even instablility in some people - it didn’t in me but I know it does for some) Just because something doesn’t happen to YOU doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen to others. There are MANY reasons for weight problems - some DO eat way too much but there are sometimes reasons they can’t control it that they need help with. Others probably eat less then the people making the stupid comments and implying they are pigging out or lazy. Before you make stupid comments that show your ignorance about thyroid problems as well as weight problems do some real research!
4 years later you show up to post this???
Take you that long to crank up the generator?
u r funny. i got the same problem.
