I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease for years now and it does NOT have the symptoms discussed in the article other than (1) you tend to gain weight easily because of low thryroid and (2) it is more difficult to take weight off and (3) depression. It is fairly easily treated with natural thyroid medication and it DOES NOT make you psycho.
Linda suffers from more than low thyroid!

My stepson was diagnosed with Hashimotos as a child, very rare for a young male, but that was the diagnosis. He takes thyroid every day, and as long as he consistently takes his dosage, he is fine. I will say that when he would forget to take it, he would get noticeably irritable. Silly kid would forget quite often. He is a young man now and doing fine and if you didn't know about his thyroid condition, you'd never be the wiser.
