Please call or email John McCain about his ignorant comments regarding the Swift Boat Vets and their campaign to educate America on the truth about John sKerrys Vietnam service and medals.

Talking Points
Kerry, a presidential nominee, has made his VN service and medals an issue in his campaign, a review of their accuracy is fair.
Comments by people who served alongside Kerry as swift boat sailors, even though they might not have served on his boat, are also fair and may shed further light on the accuracy of his claims.
The Swift Boat Vets have every right to express their opinions, even on TV if they so desire.
John sKerry was extremely critical of his fellow soldiers, calling them murderers and alleging rampant atrocities. The men and women who were the targets of this attack have every right, maybe even the obligation, to set the record straight.
That this is coming out now rather than before is neither suspicious nor a smear. John sKerry is running for President and every citizen has the right to know the complete truth about the man who might become their Commander in Chief.
John McCain is a verified war hero. John sKerry claims to be one but all the facts have not been put on the table and critically examined. There are allegations that the circumstances surrounding his receiving medals were unusual and might be fraudulant. John McCain should be endorsing these investigations to make sure those who received medals deserved them. He has that obligation to his fellow soldiers.
There are allegations, by people who were present at the time that John sKerry engaged in his own war time atrocities including the burning of villages, slaughter of livestock and execution, the same claims he made about other when he returned to the states after his extremely short four month tour. It needs to be examined whether he was acting on orders or acting alone.
Please add your own comments and suggesitons.
This only confirms my feelings about McCain. McCain is nothing more than a camoflaged Damnocrat. I have never trusted him or liked him.
Done. Thanks for the link.
I have just sent McCain a revised e-mail...

Everyone needs to call now:
I called the Washington Office (202) 224-2235
the Tuscon office at (520)-670-6334
Ladies answering said they have been inundated with calls. The Washington office is very defensive and testy.
Call and ask why McCain has never criticized Farenheit 911, Michael Moore or any Moveon.org ad
Call and ask why McCain feels he and Kerry are the only two in the country allowed to speak of Vietman.
Done! Ping!
Ops4 God BLess America!
Where were you in 1969, when Kerry was serving in Vietnam? Do you understand that none of the "Swiftboat Veterans for (so-called) Truth" served with Kerry on his boat? Did you know that the leader of that group, John O'Neill, did not even serve on a swiftboat until after Kerry's swiftboat service? Why has every single man, save one, who actually served by Kerry's side testified to his courage under fire?
Attack John Kerry on the real issues but, if you served in Vietnam and you call yourself a patriot, you should know better than to denigrate his military service.
Shame on you.
Here's a fact. John McCain has less to say about John Kerry's "service" than all these Swift Boat MEN! They are much more familiar with his "service" than the con man McCain is. That is a fact.
I am a Vietnam era ('69-'71) Army Security Agency guy, and I like most of the rest of veterans of this nation, do not appreciate the lying Kerry. Simple. That's a fact.
He lied about his wounds, he lied about actions, he lied about atrocities, etc., etc. These 'Swift Boat' guys know much more about all this than McCain. McCain should have just kept his ever-open MOUTH SHUT on this issue. His EGO got in the way once again. That's another fact.
Yes, I did 'search' him..... years ago. That's what I meant by "something to hide". You're right on the button.
John McCain is like alot of people in Washington these days....... COMPROMISED.
Kerry brought this on himself. If he wants to clear up controversies re: his medals, he should release his medical records as other presidential candidates have. Similarly, if he wants to clear up questions about his wife's business, he should release all tax returns.
As a Vietnam-era vet myself, I think we are entitled to these answers -- before election day, and not afterwards. I say, Shame on You -- for trying to silence those of us who are asking legitimate questions about someone who could be the future president of the United States, God Forbid.
Name calling. Nice touch.
Sheesh.
The truth is the truth...
Get used to it....
Semper Fi
I disagree. My questions are indeed relevant. But I thank you for being civil in your reply to me.
So, if one was not in Vietnam, one are not allowed an opinion on a Presidential nominee?
Typical lib argument to shut down debate and censor critics.
"Do you understand that none of the "Swiftboat Veterans for (so-called) Truth" served with Kerry on his boat?"
Yes we do. They served all around him in the other boats that went in combat side by side with Kerry.
"Did you know that the leader of that group, John O'Neill, did not even serve on a swiftboat until after Kerry's swiftboat service?"
Yes. O'Neill debated Kerry on TV back in he sixties over the conduct of soldiers in the Viet Nam war. He has a special perspective on Kerry that is inviolable in digging out the truth about sKerrys own conduct.
" Why has every single man, save one, who actually served by Kerry's side testified to his courage under fire?"
Democrats?
"Attack John Kerry on the real issues but..."
sKerry put his service in Vietnam on the campaign plate so he has no one but himself to blame if he doesn't like how it is panning out. It is a real issue
. "...if you served in Vietnam and you call yourself a patriot, you should know better than to denigrate his military service."
Interesting. So if someone served in our military, questions about their service are off the table no matter how serious the allegations?
I would be very interested in what you have said about Bushs National Guard service and the activites of the Abu Ghraib guards.
"Shame on you."
Shame on you for putting your party and power above the safety and security of this country.
Riding in a stroller.
Do you understand that none of the "Swiftboat Veterans for (so-called) Truth" served with Kerry on his boat?
They're in that famous photo that Kerry used in his campaign, they served on the boats operating directly with Kerry's boat.
Did you know that the leader of that group, John O'Neill, did not even serve on a swiftboat until after Kerry's swiftboat service?
So?
Why has every single man, save one, who actually served by Kerry's side testified to his courage under fire?
Why indeed? Cui bono?
Attack John Kerry on the real issues...
Kerry made it an issue, and since he's keeping the rest of his plans (foreign and domestic) a secret, what other debate can there be?
Kerry's a self-described war criminal, why should he be elected President?
I am not sure that mccain coming out against this ad is a bad thing. The gop needs to disassociate itself from all negative ads, which the new soft-money system facilitates, but the publicity from the disassociation-disclaimers (indcluding the WH 'no more soft money ads' comments) may be worth far more than his opinion in itself.
Mccain, a professional politician, knows this as well, so I would think this is a way of saying one thing while accomplishing another.
Attack John Kerry on the real issues but, if you served in Vietnam and you call yourself a patriot, you should know better than to denigrate his military service.
You, sir, are a hypocrite.
Nice thought but not true.
I called McCain's Washington office and they are defending McCain and Kerry to the core. Te girl kept repeating the mantra "They were not on Kerry's boat" over and over.
McCain is for McCain
E-mails are relatively ineffecdtive. A written letter is best, with a FAX running a close second. The FAX number is in the posted article.
Contact John McCain about his remarks
on the "Swift Boat Vets"!
Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my General Interest ping list!. . .don't be shy.
