The truth at last, thank God.
It could be that both accounts are true. His commander obviously complained to his commander and asked them to do something about Kerry. Then he told Kerry to ask to go home. Kerry gets up on his hind legs, wanting as always to have it both ways, and says, Oh, but I want to serve my country. (This will look good in the papers when I run for congress immediately on my return.). Then Kerry quietly puts in a request to go home. Everybody's right.
You've hit on it.
Both can be true. "Don't throw me into that briar patch!"

How? Kerry either knew about the 3x deal or he didn't.
The assertion in this article is that they sat him down and told him about it. If that's true then the assertions (which I believe) that he "arranged" for the 3 PHs have no basis.
Look, people tell me lots of things I already know and I don't advise them of it. John effing could have known about the policy and been pursuing it without anyone else having any knowledge of his endeavor.
