NASHVILLE - Republican congressional candidate James L. Hart acknowledges that he is an "intellectual outlaw."
He is an unapologetic supporter of eugenics, the phony science that resulted in thousands of sterilizations in an attempt to purify the white race. He believes the country will look "like one big Detroit" if it doesn't eliminate welfare and immigration. He says he believes that if blacks were integrated centuries ago, the automobile never would have been invented.
He shows up at voters' homes wearing a bulletproof vest and carrying a gun and tells them that "white children deserve the same rights as everyone else."
Despite his views, Hart may end up winning the Republican nomination because he is the only GOP candidate on the ballot in Thursday's primary.

His website is going to get LOTS of publicity between now and November:
What you are hearing is the sound of every liberal media elitist drooling on their ugly necktie.
Holy cow. Incredible.
How dare he say that!! (/sarcasm)
Why leave out abortion? Abortion is the main cause of decreased population among European-Americans.
Go look at his website, that's about the only reasonable thing you'll find. The American Nazi Party would be embarassed to be publicly represented by this guy.
They picked out the stuff they could actually put in a newspaper. The modern Republican Party has never had anybody this odious actually get a nomination for National office in my lifetime.
Well, if I were to go around telling people that, I would carry a gun and wear a bullet proof vest, too.
So the real deal is Hart was not endorsed, or selected by the Repubican Party.
Like any candidate for office, he chose to run as a Republican.
Yet another "It's Bush's fault" story.
Next we will hear that Hart is donating big bucks to the Swift Boat Vets.
He ran unopposed so of course he won. He'll get no support and probably condemnation. He's a sideshow.
I'll pass on going to his web site, thanks anyway. He's not someone I wish to get to know, but that one statement was worth a repeat.
To accept that statement is to acknowledge a preference is afforded one way or the other. Equality has been PC'd almost out of existence by those screaming the loudest for it.
Bush should go to this guy's district and campaign against him. Heck, this is a perfect opportunity to endorse the Dem opponent and get all sorts of oohs and ahs from moderates.
Btw, every friggin article I've read on this has started out with something almost identical to the words "supporter of eugenics, the phony science that resulted in thousands of sterilizations in an attempt to purify the white race." Seriously, these dang reporters have like a hive mind, and Michael Moore is their fat queen.
Anyway, this would be an excellent time to bring up some related history about the American eugenics movement: Planned Parenthood was founded in 1921 as the "American Birth Control League" by Margaret Sanger, a leading racist and supporter of eugenics. Her goal was to use birth control methods to eliminate minorities. The name was changed after WWII to hide its racist roots, but it's role as a eugenics institution remains the same. 42% of abortions performed are on minorities (twice their representation in the population) and the White Aryan Nation asks it members to make donations to free abortion clinics to curb the minority birth rate.
If anybody can get this guy in a debate, please get him to publically endorse Planned Parenthood. We might make a useful stooge of him yet.
Hey, at least we're embarrassed by it, unlike that other party...
Well, actually, he wasn't "unopposed", the Republican Commitees in every County in that District ran an all-hands write-in campaign that failed miserably. If you think that Democrats will allow this guy to remain an obscure oddity you are sadly mistaken. They will do everything they can to make him a poster child for the Republican Party.
David Duke?? This guy makes him look like a Boy Scout.
David Duke, that's what I meant to say. Of course, he wasn't a national figure.
I don't think there WAS but one article, scattered all over.
Perhaps we could coin the term "eugenics parenthood". Words have power.
