Dreamland in Tuskaloosa Al. Ribs only.
Harold's in Atlanta. hand cut, served on toast handmade over coals from the pit!
Harold's Barbecue in Atlanta rules.
Good to see Harold's is still going. Have eaten many a sammitch at the counter watching them chop that pig and toast that bread.
I'll throw in two local (Upper East Tennessee)
1. Dixie Barbeque on North Roan in Johnson City. Andy Griffith reruns and beach music and all kinds of college football memorabilia. Alan Howell is a sailing man, and he brought back a chicken sandwich (Anagoda?) from some island in the Caribbean
2. Ridgewood, out in the country, between Bluff City and Elizabethton. Get there early, because at 9:00, they lock the doors and no more BBQ.
I am a life long Texas man and thought I had eaten the best ribs. I ate at teh Dreamland BBQ place and found it to have the best ribs I have ever eaten. All should try them. dreamlandbarbq.com
