Guess I should put what that is......... History enthusiasts reenact fighting on a battle field in the village of Kresice, near the central Bohemian town of Benesov, on August 7, 2004. Several Czech historical fencing groups gathered here to perform a battle from the 15th century as a part of summer activities during the vacation time. Picture taken August 7. REUTERS/Petr Josek

I've read on FR that the "insurgents" must put-up their shoes as collateral at the amory to receive a weapon.

There they are. The heroes who fight for us. Just look at 'em. They are wondrous, each and every one.

If the Islamofascists had their way, we'd all live in this Armageddon.

If you look at those pictures you can see that some of the faces are Iraqi, but there are an awful lot of foreign looking faces there too. The guy in the black turban does NOT look Iraqi to me.

I doubt the European colonial powers were ever fooled by requested 'cease fires.' They understood these primitives, that the primitives' culture did not recognize what Westerners consider 'honor.' We are foolish to treat these goons as though they were civilized. Our men should not die for such foolishness.

U.S. Marines patrol a street during fighting in Najaf, August 8, 2004. The clashes between U.S. troops and men loyal to Shi'ite Muslim cleric Moqtada al-Sadr have killed hundreds of people and challenged the authority of Prime Minister Iyad Allawi. Iraq (news - web sites)'s interim prime minister ordered Shi'ite fighters to lay down their weapons and leave Najaf on Sunday, but the militiamen fortified their positions around an ancient cemetery with mines.
