I agree....this way politics could be preached from the pulpit without interference!
******

The whole reason for a churches tax exempt status was so the state could mandate. Organized religion sold her soul to the gov. a long time ago. "Render unto Caesar what is Caesars and unto God what is God's." To late, the greed of organized religion will destroy her, as prophesied. The Whore crawled in bed with the Beast and its a done deal.

The problem was that they uttered their opinions during a news reporting segment, not during a segment labelled "opinion" such as Bill O'Reilly. I think Fox News is letting their guard down. It's not good journalism, and they are going to lose respect from those of us who have supported them in the past. As far as whose side they come down on, I certainly don't like it when they come down on the liberal side, since all the other networks do that already.

Patty Ann Brown cut off Falwell and let Barry Lynn interrupt.

Barry Lynn? Is that dork still at it? He needs to develop some hobbies, take some trips, enjoy life more. A tour of the Holy Land and the catacombs of Rome would be a good place to start.

Abolishing tax exempt status for everyone would be a good idea. No more 527s?

Better yet abolish tax nonexempt status.

...don't give him tax exemption because he professes to be a Christian "minister."

Excuse me but Falwell pays his taxes just like you and I do.

Will someone explain to me how Jessie Jackson maintains his exempt status? They showed video of him recruting at a black church yesterday.

Now you are a keeper of the Big Secret. You know which Constitution they are reading.

Maybe this amendment would please you? The other two members of the ping list will immediately recognize its source.

The United States of America is a system based on belief in:
  1. The Holy Trinity of God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Ghost (as stated in the phrase "You shall have no other gods before me"). Our Lord Jesus Christ has exclusive sovereignty and the right to legislate, and the necessity of submission to His commands;
  2. Divine revelation and its fundamental role in setting forth the laws;
  3. The return to God in the Hereafter, and the constructive role of this belief in the course of man's ascent towards God;
  4. The justice of God in creation and legislation;
  5. Continuous leadership in the body of Christ and perpetual guidance, and its fundamental role in ensuring the uninterrupted process of the tending of His flock;
  6. The exalted dignity and value of man, and his freedom coupled with responsibility before God; in which equity, justice, political, economic, social, and cultural independence, and national solidarity are secured by recourse to:
    1. Continuous striving to meet the requirements of God's law, with a judiciary possessing necessary qualifications, exercised on the basis off the Holy Bible and the best teachings thereof, so that there may be compatibility and understanding among the people.
    2. Sciences and arts and the most advanced results of human experience, together with the effort to advance them further should respect and reflect the teachings of the Holy Bible.
    3. Negation of all forms of oppression, both the infliction of and the submission to it, and of dominance, both its imposition and its acceptance.
