Counter to the liberal guy: Did black churches lose their tax exempt status when they had Al Gore give poltical speech from the pulpit during Sunday service? (good enough for goose effect)

Congress shall make NO LAW...

That is all that needs to be said.

If anyone else wants to force otherwise ... that is why we have the Second Amendment!

One man says to a second man: "Do you believe in the First Amendment freedom of speech?"
The second man says: "Of course I do."
The first man then asks: "Do you believe in the Second Amendment freedom to bear arms?"
The second man replies: "No, I don't."
The first man insists: "Then shut up!"

The moral of the story is: you can have your rights, but you have to protect and defend them, too.

Separation of Church & State is in the Constitution.

Article 52 [Religion]

(1) Citizens of the USSR are guaranteed freedom of conscience, that is, the right to profess or not to profess any religion, and to conduct religious worship or atheistic propaganda. Incitement of hostility or hatred on religious grounds is prohibited.

(2) In the USSR, the church is separated from the state, and the school from the church.

The Constitution of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic

Abolishing tax exempt status for everyone would be a good idea. No more 527s?

I agree....this way politics could be preached from the pulpit without interference!

Fox News is doing it again. Patty Ann Brown cut off Falwell and let Barry Lynn interrupt. Fox News better get their act together -- a while ago, the report was talking about the Bush campaign, but showing Kerry on the screen. The Fox News Channel is shifting quickly to the left. What is going on?

Your last sentence should read, "If Congress wants to force otherwise ... that is why we have the Second Amendment!"

If I, a business owner, want to bant Muslims, or Jews, or Christians, or Wiccans, or whomever, from my private establishement, I would be perfectly within my rights.

Interference would still be there, and rightly so - preaching political jihad comes to mind as something to be forcibly interfered with.

I have heard the "fox is moving left" argument for some time now. We need to keep in mind that Foxnews is not meant to be a "conservative channel", the point is to let both sides express their opinion(as opposed to other tv news outlets). I think fox is still a beacon of light when it comes to expressing the conservative view on social issues, immigration, and the economy. If i only watched CNN and the networks... i'd probably think we're still in a recession.

Falwell already knows that the only way to deal with Barry Lynn honestly is to NOT BE POLITE.

Frankly, he shouldn't even commit to these engagements (except the "newsies" will bring on Barry by himself in that case).

BTW, I missed the start ~ did they call Barry a "minister" this time, or have they finally gotten over that.

There is NO SEPARATION!In order for there to be a"SEPARATION",there had to have been a"UNION"!!"Congress Shall Make No Law Respecting An Establishment of Religion,Nor Prohibiting The Free Excercise Thereof"...What part of this extremely clear and unambiguous language is so difficult for SOME of us to understand???

The media should be in the Center, not hard right or left. Fox was seen as "conservative" when compared to the Communist News Network, See-BS and such.

Now Fox is moving left and becoming CNN-Lite. Don't forget that the COO of the Fox Group has endorsed Lurch for President.

"Now Fox is moving left and becoming CNN-Lite"
I don't really see that happening at all. If theres a particular incident of bias on fox that you feel needs attention, please write to them and let them know. However in general, I still think Fox viewers are much better informed on actual facts than Cnn viewers, and they get to hear both sides of the argument.

The Fox News Channel is shifting quickly to the left

Good grief! You're seeing something you want to see Tommy.

FOXNEWS is NOT turning left.
