Like Springsteen, he's been a lib his whole career. And like Springsteen, he is famous for having a hit song that sounds pro-American on the surface, but is actually bashing America. Pink Houses and Born in the USA are two sides of the same liberal coin, but many people never bothered to listen to anything but the choruses, so they think they're pro-American songs.
Disagree. I think I am a good judge of character of those with whom I work and associate with and I would suspect JM would have had some suspicions about this guy before hand. Either way, "You are known by the company you keep".
Not by "the company you kept 20 years ago."
Heaven forbid we all be held responisble for what our former colleages do decades later.
