Kerry-MIA (Christmas in Cambodia - NEW press find with added details from Kerry)
JustOneMinute Blog / Original 1992 AP Wire Report ^ | 8/8/04 | John Diamond / AP

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Navy Lt. John Kerry knew he had no business steering his Mekong River patrol boat across the border into Cambodia, but orders were orders.

A quarter-century later, Sen. John Kerry says newly declassified documents have convinced him fellow servicemen captured on such trips were left behind at war's end.

...

But for Kerry, who spent six violent months commanding a patrol boat on the Mekong River, there's always been a ring of truth to allegations of abandoned Americans. By Christmas 1968, part of Kerry's patrol extended across the border of South Vietnam into Cambodia.

"We were told, `Just go up there and do your patrol. Everybody was over there (in Cambodia). Nobody thought twice about it," Kerry said. One of the missions, which Kerry, at the time, was ordered not to discuss, involved taking CIA operatives into Cambodia to search for enemy enclaves.

"I can remember wondering, `If you're going to go, what happens to you,"' Kerry said.

So in this version Kerry elaborates or further hallucinates with the reporter and tells him "Everybody was over there (in Cambodia)" ... everybody, that is, except his crew mates and all his fellow officers, apparently.

Also pointed out in source blog - in this version Kerry claims there was more than one mission ... which really puts him at odds with all the other veterans & even his own documented history as there's not that much time to be trotting back & forth up to Cambodia when you're only in theatre for a total of 4 months!

too bad this is too confusing for the Sheeple to understand - especially since 99% of the general public probably couldn't find Cambodia on a map.

I don't even know what to make of all this; is he slam mad?

I'll tell you this: in my mind, he is fast becoming a bigger liar than Bill Clinton ever thought about being.

And the thing is, Clinton lied about stupid stuff -- stuff you don't even have to lie about.

Kerry is bordering on sociopath. He is one of the most dangerous men I've seen in my lifetime. Richard Nixon talking to past presidents' portraits has nothing on this guy.

Oh, my gosh. This is really bad. For Kerry, that is.

He said this back in the day when the rat media was the only game in town, when he would have been protected from exposure.

Focus on his "Christmas in Cambodia" statement in the Congressional Record that was posted on another thread earlier today. If accurate, how can Kerry explain away his own statement in the "Congressional Record", of all places? Will he claim he misquoted himself?

A terrific caller to Drudge tonight pointed out another recent damnable, and provable, Kerry lie.

At the speech last week where he quoted Michael Moore's "Seven Minutes" schtick, he laid another whopper a little while later. He claimed that the week before the security council voted to back Bush on Iraq, he, Kerry, had been in secret negotiations with the security council. He was making a point about what a sophisticated deal maker he will be, etc.

Except, he was in Iowa the entire week before that UNSC vote. And it's not in the junior senator from MA's job description to engage in secret negotiaions with the UNSC.

The caller to Drudge had saved tapes from CSPAN, and made transcripts. Another probable lie by the psycho who would be President.

We need to follow this up.

Oh, dear.

It is my conclusion that the Eddie Murphy character in "Trading Places" was based on John Kerry:

"...yeah, I was in Sang-Bang, Gang-Gong, Special-Unit-Aiborne Batallion,...my name was Agent Orange, yeah Agent Orange."

What a legend!

I'm reminded of that secret meeting Kerry held in NY with all the sympathetic left-leaning journalists shortly after it was clear he was on his way to wrapping up the nomination. I'm torn between pondering whether some sort of deal was struck there in coordination & anticipation of the inevitable challenges to Kerry's ludicrous histories or whether it's just another case of Mass. journalists doing the kind of presidential level vetting they performed so "well" for Kerry's former boss Michael Dukakis.

this is rich, one more bald faced lie exposed futher...He must be a sociopath to not think he would get called on this stuff...I guess since Clintoon got away with it he figured he could...maybe he should have realized he wouldn't qualify as a pimple on a real swiftees rear end and that they wouldn't cut and run like he did...
