The media is like sharks, if Kerry starts to slide in the polls, they will smell blood in the water and follw up on this. However, as long as Kerry is perceived to be the front runner or have a viable chance of winning the election, they will keep their distance from it.
My biggest suprise is how the conservative media are pooh-poohing the story. Honestly, Britt Hume and Bill Kristol on Sunday glossed over it on FOX on Sunday AM, you would have thought they were working for the DNC.
Dims talking point is: "But they weren't on SKerry's boat!" They say this with a bit of hysteria. They don't even try to refute any other point.
No, the Media are committed to destroying the the swiftvets for daring to tell the truth about the media and the liberals gold plated idol, John (four months wonder) Kerry.

Well, that's the thing that could (and should) easily be used to sink Lt. Kerry's swiftboat. If he by his own testimony before Cognress committed atrocities, then he is by definition a war criminal. So he is (or should be, if the media could pretend for a moment that he is a Republican) on the very sharp horns of a dilemma:
He has to either admit he is a war criminal, or admit he was lying through his smiling teeth to Congress and thereby not only alienate his left-wing sycophants but be prosecuted for perjury.
Bush should say, Senator, either you are a war criminal or you are a liar. Name your poison...

I remember years ago on another news station program (she was defending Clinton so it was awhile ago), Estrich was tossing her hands around and, worse, throwing herself backwards and forwards in her chair while talking on television to the point where I wondered how the camera man could keep her in focus. I thought, "What is she doing on the air?"
So, she's still doing it, huh?
