Does anyone remember when the president made an impromptu (sp) stop not to long ago, because people were lined up on a highway he was traveling by? That is the difference between President Bush and the wannabe president

----"Lawrence, Kansas, is a typical college town, very liberal. It's where the University of Kansas is. And very liberal, lots of professors there, lots of students, lots of students that date the professors, and it's just all that you've thought liberal academia is rolled into one little population center....these students and the people of Lawrence hate Bush, and they so desperately want to love Kerry."----
Not that it's really related, but throughout this bit today, a voice in the back of my head kept reminding me that it was Lawrence that got nuked in "The Day After".

Damned right. Just as it is impossible to imagine Bush deriding his hecklers as "goons", it is equally impossible to believe that he'd flip off his supporters -- or anyone -- as cavalierly as Kerry did his. Even if, through some big miscommunication, this kind of thing happened with one of his appearances, Bush would find some way to make it up to them. And whatever happened, he would most certainly not attempt to pawn off the blame on anyone and everyone else.
Another illustration of one of the crucial gulfs between the President and Ketchup Boy: Class. Bush has it in spades; Kerry never learned what it is.

Why would Heinz-Kerry stop in Kansas anyway? There are no electoral college votes for a Rat there. Never have been ... never will be.

Just for perspective, while 25 MPH doesn't sound that fast to anyone who drives, it is 36.66 feet per second or in a matter of seconds, he is pretty far down the track.

Meanwhile, Hillary is sitting in her chair with a smile on her face, nodding her head in approval. Kerry commits more blunders as the days go by.

I gotta be honest. I think Kerry was going to be FReeped by the students in Lawrence! No evidence. Just gut instinct. The kid knew to call Rush first thing after the no-show. That's all I'm sayin'.
