Is this a different threat against Italy or a duplicate?

'Pull out of Iraq or we attack' threat
August 16, 2004 - 6:30AM

An Islamist group has threatened to attack Italy and the Netherlands if they do not withdraw troops from Iraq, according to an Internet statement posted today.

The threat from a group calling itself Islamic Tawhid was posted as a deadline set by another Islamist militant group, Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades, for a pullout by Italian troops expired.

It was not possible to verify the authenticity of the latest statement which was posted on an Islamist Web site.

"We are ready and waiting for the right time to shake all European states which sent troops to Iraq, and advise the Dutch to withdraw troops from Iraq or we will not be responsible for what happens," Islamic Tawhid said.

Addressing Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, it said: "You have challenged the soldiers of Islam, so expect an Islamic earthquake."

Islamic Tawhid has previously threatened to turn Iraq into a "hell" for Salvadorean troops if the Central American nation goes ahead with plans to send a new contingent.

Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades, which claims ties to al-Qaeda, had called on its fighters to hit "all targets" in Italy after its August 15 deadline for Italian troops to quit Iraq was ignored. Italy has said it takes the threats seriously.
