The Michael Schiavo case is another horror story. Something happened to his wife Terri when she was alone with him and she ended brain-damaged. The case was never investigated and he sued the hospital for big bucks allegedly for her rehabilitation.

After some seven or eight years he suddenly recalled she wanted to die. He has a mistress, two illegitimate children, and has been fighting tooth and nail to have his wife starved to death. He does not permit any rehabilitation, has filed false charged against her parents for "trying to harm her," won't permit flowers or music in her room, and has pulled other sadistic stunts on her and her family.

So far the courts have sided with him even though he has broken the law, refuses to answer select questions, has failed to show up in court for disposition, etc.
