Senator McCain should immediately RETRACT his awful and unwise criticism of his fellow Vietnam veterans who are CORRECTLY pointing out Kerry's Vietnam embellishments.
Senator McCain, do you think Kerry told the truth when he said this ON THE SENATE FLOOR IN 1986:
"Mr. President, I remember Christmas of 1968 sitting on a gunboat in Cambodia. I remember what it was like to be shot at by Vietnamese and Khmer Rouge and Cambodians, and have the President of the United States telling the American people that I was not there; the troops were not in Cambodia."
No. This
And if Senator Kerry was the one lying about it, not the Swift Veterans - then, sir, you are attacking the wrong group!
Now your comments are being misused and post in Amazon.com, to inflame not to inform.
You should publicly retract your comments and withdraw from this particular debate. Whether this is important for voters to know about - let them be judge of that. The fact is this - Kerry has tried to have it both ways on this matter, and he wants it both ways on many current issues.
Jumping into the crossfire is only hurting you AND the truth.
Again, please retract your previous statement and let people know that since you werent there personally, you cant truly consider theswift Boat claims untrue. (Indeed, if you look, you'll find they ring true.)
So, the joke is ultimately on them. The inside of the book can't be hacked, so buyers will get the real book no matter what the hackjob was. Maybe some liberals will learn something from those pages.
---The book's rating on Amazon.com has dropped form #1 to #15 in very short time.---
Where do you see this? Where I'm looking its still number one.
Anyone doubt it's an inside job. Amazon got the idea from B&N.........
I'm looking at it, too... and it's at #1. ??? A few minutes ago I looked at it and it was at #15... Maybe I was looking at the wrong place.
DITTOS and 10-4!!
I freeped Amazon.com and urge others, I also sent words to McCain here:

will have to order a copy right away!
Amazon tries VERY HARD to keep their contact info...besides e-mails....secret.
I did a Google search and found the goods though.
We need to Freep them (they will ignore the e-mails):

E-mail address and the fax numbers seem to go on- and off-line with some regularity. Readers have also had luck with the following addresses:
resolution@amazon.com
charge-inquiries@amazon.com
cust.service03@amazon.com
"Thanks for contacting us at Amazon.com.
"I'm sorry, but we will need to research this situation further.
"We will write back to you with an answer in the next 1-2 business days.
"Thank you for your patience, and thanks for shopping at Amazon.com."
In other words: The Fix Is In.
It is DEFINITLY an inside job.
Perhaps someone ought to ask them how it is that someone so easily hacked into their website and what protection is there for our credit card information?
I used the suggestion box at the bottom of the amazon page to let them know that the "Product information is incorrect" and then explained why.
I just went into my browser history, and found the page that was showing it at #15... it was a "Recommended for You" page, not the top sellers page. My mistake. :)
I put the following message in their "Suggestion Box":
"There is a quote from John McCain leading the reviews of "Unfit for Command" that is not a review of this book. That seems inappropriate and very dishonest on the part of Amazon. I was intending to place an order today for a number of books, but that order will remain on hold pending the removal of the misleading information from this page."
And I will clear my cart if they do not change it today. The shame is, I have some good books I have already been putting off buying and without Amazon I have to make multiple trips to the bookstores to order them and pick them up.
I'll thank them with an order! They seem to have removed the quote from McCane now. It was still there after I made my post.
I just got the lowdown from an Amazon person. It seems somebody submitted revised editorial information on the book, and the info was posted without confirmation that it came from the publisher. Once calls started flooding in, Amazon pulled the McCain quote. They say it was a blunder, not a sign of bias, and I'm inclined to believe it.
