To me, the all-purpose one-word description for Kerry is fraud.

He put together a film crew of his fellow soldiers to record, and in some cases to re-enact, his "exploits." Fraud.

He received three Purple Hearts over the span of a few weeks, enough to get him out of Viet Nam, yet refuses to respond to credible allegations that the wounds were trivial, and possibly even self-inflicted -- charges he could easily refute by authorizing the release of his service medical records. Fraud.

He betrayed and lied about his fellow soldiers for political gain. He lied about being ordered to Cambodia. He threw away his medals, or ribbons, or someone else's -- the story has changed so often, who knows the truth? Fraud.

He tried to leverage his disingenuous war protests into a House seat at an early age, and managed to lose in a Massachusetts district which voted for McGovern the same year. Fraud.

After losing the house race, he enrolled in a second-tier law school (BC) for the sole purpose of building a resume suitable for a political career. Fraud.

He married a wealthy wife, divorced her, and married a very wealthy widow several years his senior, and embarked upon a loveless relationship for political and economic convenience. Fraud.

He has "played at" being a Senator, but has no notable legislation nor other achievements to his name. Fraud.

He is an utterly hollow man. And he's a fraud.

"Occasionally, he'll even write poems, like the one he reluctantly read to a reporter: "I had a talk with a deer today/ we met upon the road some way . . . between his frequent snorts/He asked me if I sought his pelt/cause if I did he said he felt/quite out of sorts!"
