Well, for normal guys, I'm sure that is true. But Kerry is not your average joe.
It looks to be a critical look at the Media, to me.
There are BLOG COMMENTS on each subject also.
To be honest, I haven't read through it throughly, but have skimmed it. I want to know....
1. Have you heard of this site ?
2.If you look through it, what do you think?
Here is WHO they are at SPIN SANITY.
Spinsanity in the news
Our articles have been cited widely in the national media - the list includes CNN, Fox News, New York Times columnist Paul Krugman, the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post, Post media critic Howard Kurtz, The American Prospect, Chicago Tribune, the Washington Times, The New Republic, Washington Monthly and The Nation. In addition, we have been profiled by The Washington Post, Washington City Paper, Washingtonian magazine, C-SPAN's "Washington Journal," Philadelphia City Paper and Las Vegas Weekly. And in May 2003, Nyhan received an Award of Distinction for two Spinsanity columns in the Paul Mongerson Prize for Investigative Reporting on News Coverage competition from the Center on Media and Public Affairs.
Weekly Philadelphia Inquirer column From January 19, 2004 until the end of the year, we are writing a weekly column that will appear Thursday on the commentary page of the Philadelphia Inquirer, one of the nation's largest and most respected newspapers.
I left Pinellas County in '75 because it was getting way too crowded for me.
The WWII vets are the saddest.
They are easy to delude.
They cannot IMAGINE someone doing what JFinK did.
And most of them don't read the Internet; they are stuck with whatever the nightly newscast tells them.
Like the fellow in the second letter...
He says that as a young commander he was too busy to think of getting a medal and was surprised when it was presented to him.
Does he even KNOW that Kerry put HIMSELF in for the Silver Star, and ASKED for the Purple Heart, from a CO who laughed at the request?
I'd wager he does not know.
The WWII vets are an important audience for Bush and us.
First town I ever saw with steps from the street to the sidewalk with handrails. Also, oxygen masks on some lampposts in the downtown area.
Are you talking about Salt Petersburg?
LOL! St. Pete is where Viagra is prescribed to keep the old guys from rolling out of bed.
To those who assert that Viet Nam is old, and should be buried, I say "NO! Not so fast." Maybe a silver lining in Kerry's lies is an honest revisit of our country's activity in Viet Nam, to replace a lie-filled hisotry. Most, but obviously not all, our veterans deserve to be honored, not reviled.
