If Hack does'nt pursue Kerry"s medals with the same elan he did with Boorda, his last shread of credibility, with me anyway, is gone. Good for you. It really sad about Hackworth. I never will understand a military man selling out.

I was familiar with Admiral Boorda, but not personally.I know he was a good man and meant no disrespect.

Whatever brass Hackworth once had has faded away leaving a bitter little man with issues.

It just like this Capt in the Navy I knew. This guy was F-14 Pilot, then head of an F-14 squad on the JFK, and finally the only Capt in the Navy to be in charge of Aircraft carrier. The Carrier was the Ranger before it got scraped. Nevertheless, he was a liberal! It blew me away. I just do not understand that
Must correct you on your statement that the guy you knew was the only Capt. in the Navy to command a carrier.
Aircraft carriers are commanded by Capts of the Navy. They must first be Naval aviators.
A Capt. in the Navy is equal to a Col. in the other branches of the Service.
Do not be in such a hurry to criticize Hack if you have never served. Hack earned his medals the hard way.
