That's what I was wondering. I know a few years back S&W went into heavy Clinton-liberal-appeaser mode and got slammed. The company was British-owned at the time, I believe. Then I thought I heard the company was sold again and the new ownership disavowed all the Clinton-liberal-appeaser crap.

We drove the traitor Smith out. This is a new guy. He's all for the second amendment.

Even my survivalist/right wing/gun dealer buddy is now selling Smiths again. He wouldn't touch them during the Clinton mess.

Yes, Americans have regained control. Their service department still does excellent work, and are just as happy as I was when this event happened.
The fine folks at S&W basically rebuilt my 629 snubbie at no cost. I can actually hit an oil drum at living room range with it....Doesn't really matter if I hit anything, as the blast would probably set whatever on fire anyway....

I have....they are no longer owned by that Limey toilet bowl company....the people responsible for the big brown nosing are history...

Yeah they still add some PC safety features...that are not only useless but dangerous to getting the weapon into action in a timely manner...imo

But their new line of SC handguns are also designated by the letters PD (Personal Defense)
so S&W publically confesses and promotes the notion that handguns are for protecting human life...bottom line...

Obviously, some people have forgiven them.

I think it started when the then-owners who signed the agreement sold the company and then the new company brought out that hand-cannon. Not this one, an earlier .50 caliber, I think.

I'm not going to buy one. But I won't condemn those who think the situation is now different enough to ease up on the boycott. After all, we won.
