Kerry reminds me of Faye Dunaway in Chinatown:
"She's my sister! She's my daughter! She's my sister! She's my daughter!"
Kerry: "It was Christmas! It was New Year's! It was Vietnam! It was Cambodia! It was Christmas AND New Years AND Vietnam AND Cambodia!!!!"

If I was sKerry [shudder!] and if I DID in fact run missions into Cambodia, right about now I'd be presenting irrefutable evidence of same.
If he can't he's in big trouble.

Looks like "about 50 miles" from the Cambodian border could have placed Kerry relaxing on the South Vietnamese beaches.

Did hanoi john make up the Cambodia story to manipulate foreign policy? From looking at the testimony to Congress that is what he was trying to do, just as he tried to manipulate the direction of the Vietnam War after he turned traitor.

Drudge says tonight that Brinkley is going to write a piece for the New Yorker magazine that will clarify Kerry being in Cambodia.
This is just what we want: Kerry digging a bigger hole that could sink his presidential bid if the big media run with the story behind the coverup.
Brinkley will be the bigger loser as his reputation as a presidential biographer will be ruined. He must be getting some really big bucks to be Kerry's flack-jack.
This is going to be hilarious to watch. I hope that someone in the print media would interview each of Kerry's crewmen in detail and find out exactly what happened during each of the three Purple Heart incidents. Each crewman seems to have a completely different story about what happened.
Also, each crewman involved in filming Kerry's home movies should be interviewed to find out exactly what happened. I understand that during the filming, Kerry used his Zippo lighter to burn down some huts. I am glad "Old Iron Tits" didn't have to throw one of those hand grenades bouncing around on Kerry's chest. He has such a rag arm, (as evidenced by his opening pitch at the Red Sox game before the DNC last week) he could have killed himself or the other extras on hand for the 8mm home movie production. What a complete jerk to beach his swiftboat and expose his crewmen to danger just for a home movie!
Also, from my reading of Tour of Duty, in each of the three Purple Heart incidents, Kerry was the only one "wounded." Very strange. You'd think that some of the enlisted crewmen would want to have a Purple Heart medal also if they are so easy to get (just use your imagination sailor!)

Brinkley has Kerry running 'black missions' in SE Asia, so the details have to be kept secret.
Right. Junior Lieutenant, new to Swift boats is the one picked to run black Op's into Cambodia, without the knowledge of his Commanders. Sounds solid to me ./sarcasm

Now can they get the "Band of Brothers" to back this up. Mama T better pull out the check book and start writing.

And Brinkley didn't use this in the book, uh why exactly. Not interesting enough? Kerry is too modest? Sure, that must be it.
When they introduce Brinkley on TV they should list his profession as whore instead of historian.

What do you think of the possibility that this 'updated' info concerning secret missions was fabricated just for the media, giving them a 'legitimate' reason for dropping any further inquiry? An easy out for them.
'National security, ya know. We're not allowed to divulge the details, so let's move on to the McGreevy story.'
To: tirednvirginia
Are all of his "Band of Brothers" willing to swear that they accompanied Kerry into Cambodia on these "secret" missions? Three of the five who were in his crew during this period (Christmas '68 - Feb '69) have already been quoted, "Cambodia? Us?"
This new story is likely to have a short shelf life.
Understand that Brinkley might be innocent. He says that he's relying on Kerry's "journals". And I wouldn't put it past J Effin' K to lie to his journal...

I joked to a friend that kerry would be remembering his trip to Cambodia on Christmas, his trip to Laos on New Years and his secret mission to Hanoi on the Chinese New Years. I forgot Orthodox Christmas.
What next, revealing that he secretly passed vitamins and encouraging notes from ole BJ to Mc Cain while Johnny was in NV prison?

Oh, I get it now.
Kerry wasn't in Cambodia before he was in Cambodia. Someone should still ask Martin Sheen if he remembers Kerry on the Cambodia mission to terminate Marlon Brando.
