Congressman Issa strongly supports operations conducted by the Border Patrol Mobile Patrol Group, which during the first half of June resulted in 422 apprehensions of illegal aliens by twelve Border Patrol Agents. Not to get too far OT, but are John & Ken directing any of their "human sacrifice" energies towards defeating Sen. Boxer? A Senator is much more powerful, generally speaking, than a House member, even a Rules chairman like David Dreier; it's better to be one vote in 100 than one in 435.

Issa and Asa really do have tin ears when it comes to this subject, and they really REALLY didn't understand the mood of that crowd, and it sounds UGLY for them.
You are getting too far, this is about Asa moving towards the correct position. He has gotten part of the message and it AT LEAST making some token moves, throwing some bones. I hope it continues, I would be willing to forgive him if he restarted the interior sweeps for instance.
As for Boxer, have you seen who's running against her? Did you watch the debate between Jones and her? Rush could talk about that race 3 hours every day and that dog wouldn't hunt.

While I agree there should be no pullout of our troops, I think it is important to acknowledge WhiteGuy's point that a mere fraction of that, 12 thousand could make a tremendous impact.
I think to dismiss the entire concept out of hand with the vague concept of "fighting over there" is to miss the importance of our WOT not only includes, but is most important HERE.
To paraphrase, I care because it is better to lose a sneak attack battle in THEIR neighborhood, than in ours.
That would be really a smart thing to do. We protect borders all over the world, yet our elected officials refuse to protect our very own borders.
We need real human beings in charge of our sovereignty and not slick politicians. We have no men of honor working for us on the Federal level from my listening to the show.
Asa ot Isa who held the town meeting seemed hardly qualified to lead a shift at Jack In The Box, much less be in any position of power regarding illegals.
I want regularly the kind of sweeps the 12 border patrol used to capture hundreds, no matter who they are.
I don't find it insulting that if 99.5% of the illegals come from the south of us that they are who are mostly caught and removed.
That can't be done unless they are trained to do that and they signed up as soldiers to be an army who kills and breaks things, not to perform border patrol.

Well I'm an adult and what I am hearing I judge as incompetent, irresponsible, and completely out of touch from the under Secretary of Homeland Security. He is actually claiming that sweeps have restarted? That is simply not true.
Asa is a tool and he knows it. You can see it in his eyes. They have done ZERO since he's been there. A true sell-out.
