The intersting thing about about Farida Ahmed is that she is still being questioned by the FBI. They at first thought she was a South African muslim and now they find out she is Pakistani. She is to have a grand jury hearing Monday regarding 3 immigration charges which are lying to the feds, entering the country illegally, and altering her passport which was probably one of those illegal African passports.
Notice the difference in her treatment and all the other OTMs. They are to be repatriated immediately or their case will be processed by an immigration judge. Not a grand jury.
All of a sudden we are worried about the OTMs after letting 40 to 50 thousand in last year. I wonder why?
Because we my friend are all dispensible little chips ;(
Not sure if I really believe this...
Which is it President Bush supports--de facto amnesty for illegal aliens or what's claimed in this article? He can't credibly advocate both at the same time.
Glad to see you back on some of these threads.
"Many were released pending immigration hearings"
Yeah sure, that solves the problem, doesn't it? Surely, they'll show-up at their deportation hearings. NOT!
America, wake-up and throw the bastards in Washington, out! We're going to have to do it all, ourselves. We can't trust the RINOS, or anyone else, anymore, dammit.
Farida Ahmed had been in and out of here at least 250 times in the last few years. She shouldn't be seeing a grand jury. She needs to be under the care of the old boys who specialized in sodium pentathal and other techniques too "barbaric" for the squeamish PC crowd.
Please ping me if you hear the outcome of Monday's hearings on Farida Ahmed.
It has merit.
You noticed that too, huh? Suddenly, after the latest terror warnings we are hearing of these broad attempts to close the border to terrorists.
I suspect they have intelligence that confirms that known terrorists, who are to be instrumental in the next attack, have come over from Mexico...and they are trying to cover their butts. Too little, too late.
Really, for that matter, so is the Canadian border. It is just impossible to patrol a (combined) border with over 6,000 miles of land mass. But that doesn't mean the government should back away from the known border incursions the whole world knows and sees that goes on 24/7.
An Bush Owl swooping into action is better than a Kerry Bob White. I'd rather have a Reagan Eagle but I'll take the Bush Owl.
That 100 mile rule is absurd --- the only thing it's going to do is get all the illegals living around here to head north --- they can be 100 miles north in 2 hours very easily.
Well --- it would help this immediate area except I doubt they'd really go after those with the anchor babies getting the welfare handouts.
It almost does seem like it's by design. First Clinton pretty much moved the border 80 miles north --- the border is pretty open where the original border was, shopping cards and visitor visas are very readily handed out so pretty much anyone can come over. The original border is very easy to get over --- the most they ask is to see a drivers license but usually they only ask citizenship, whoever says US or American is allowed over. The 80 mile checkpoints would take care of that they claimed. So of course illegals have been piling up inside that 80 mile region all along the border -- now they're telling them to move north and they'll be fine, otherwise they can be deported. And of course those 80 mile checkpoints are only a handful --- extremely easy to get around.

BUMP!
One is too many. I suspect at least 10 thousand who've come over in the last 18 months. And that's not counting multiple trips back and forth some make like that one woman in McAllen a few weeks ago. Live it up now, friends, because our days are numbered.
Can we have a show of hands if any think these guys will bother showing back up for their hearing? I'm waiting... No one? Come on, folks. Don't be shy. Anyone? Ok, we have a concensus of ZERO.
