Mon Aug 16 2004 22:37:16 ET

SUPERCUTS: Dem presidential hopeful John Kerry flew his Washington, DC hairdresser to Portland, OR last week for a touch-up.

CRISTOPHE stylist Isabelle Goetz, who handles Kerry's hair issues, made the trek to the West Coast, the NY DAILY NEWS will report on Tuesday.

Last spring, DRUDGE detailed how Kerry flew Goetz to Pittsburgh for a trim...

GWB should pop in to the corner barber shop for a trim during a campaign stop. I think JFNK would not have the courage to follow suit, bronze star or no. His locks are too important to him.

But this can't be. Kerry is a man of the people. Only rich racist Republicans can afford $1,000,000 haircuts.

BTW, did you know that he served in Vietnam?

Senator(and I use that term lightly) Kerry flies his hairdresser to the west coast for a trim and the "heroic" Kerry can't show up for 2/3 of this year's Senate vote? What a self-absorbed assh@le.

This really gets into my craw. Here we had one President Doofus, in Air Force One, who shut down a runway at LAX for a haircut.

Now we have a Pretender to the Throne, who is so out of touch with mainstream reality that he pulls off a caper like this.

God, please save us from ourselves. To think that such an abomination could be a contender to the presidency sends chills through my aging spine.

But, I wasn't in Cambodia that Christmas, so what do I know.

This must be his plan to create more jobs. A haircut just employs one hairdresser, but flying one in employs pilots, flight attendants, security screeners, etc. It's trickle down economics at work! We've been outflanked!

XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX MON DEC 02, 2002 11:02:49 ET XXXXX

CASH AND COIF: KERRY HAIRCUT COSTS $150

**Exclusive**

Democrat all-star John Kerry of Massachusetts is positioning himself as a populist politician while he takes the first step for a White House run...

But the self-described "Man of The People" pays $150 to get his hair styled and shampooed -- the cost of feeding a family of three for two weeks!

MORE

Maintaining his reputation for best hair in the Senate, Kerry was recently seen at Washington's famed Cristophe Salon, according to sources, getting perfectly cleaned and coifed by Isabel Goetz, Hillary Clinton's hairstylist.

Between salon runs, Kerry has been on the stump advocating "the needs of average working Americans, middle-class families" who are "struggling harder and harder on quality of life issues."

"When it comes to his hair, Mr. Kerry is very, very particular, " says a stylist source. "The coloring and the highlighting, the layering... but the results are fabulous."

Kerry's haircare has become legend in media circles.

"It's always a fight to get mirror time," notes one green room insider at FOX NEWS's D.C. bureau. "He obsessively primps and poses before he goes on the air."

**Update: Kerry Confirms Cristophe Hair Cut Late Monday; But Salon Claims Men Shampoo and Cut Only Runs $75, not $150.

$1000 HAIRCUT? KERRY FLIES IN HAIRDRESSER FOR TOUCH-UP BEFORE 'MEET THE PRESS'

**Exclusive**

On the Friday before his MEET THE PRESS appearance, Dem presidential hopeful John Kerry flew his Washington, DC hairdresser to Pittsburgh for a touch-up, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

Cristophe stylist Isabelle Goetz, who handles Kerry's hair issues, made the trek to Pittsburgh, campaign sources reveal.

"Her entire schedule had to be rearranged," a top source explains.

A Kerry campaign spokesman refuses to clarify if Goetz flew by private jet on April 16 or on the official Kerry For President campaign plane.

The total expense for the hair touch-up is estimated to be more than $1000, insiders tell DRUDGE.

One source suggests the hairdresser was flown to Pittburgh on Teresa Heinz Kerry's 'Flying Squirrel', a Gulfstream V private jet.

[The 'Flying Squirrel' is worth about $35 million. A deluxe model; plasma TV, two bathrooms, fancy mahogany and burlwood paneling, gold-plated fixtures.]

"Senator Kerry thinks Isabelle does a superb job," a campaign source said.

Goetz grew up in a small town in eastern France. She also does Hillary Clinton's hair.

Now the truth can be told: We went into Cambodia to discover the secret of Cambodian hair. Their hair was mysteriously bouncy and shiny, never stringy or scraggly. I can't tell you what happened on that mission, but let's just say that under a Kerry administration our military will never be ill-equipped to fight split ends, either at home or abroad.

When WILL the Party of the little people. . .'get it'; I mean the voters, of course."

Kerry, no doubt, needs to look his best; as he campaigns about the excesses of the rich Republican's.

. . .this rates no more than a 'chuckle' from Michael Moore.
