McGREEVEY PASSED ON FBI FREEH IN FAVOR OF BOYFRIEND
WWDJ-NJ ^ | 8.17.2004

Trenton - Former FBI Director Freeh made an extraordinary offer to the state of New Jersey, he would take the post of Homeland Security Advisor at no salary.

According to reports out today, Freeh agreed to assume the role of state anti-terrorism czar to then acting Governor Don DiFrancesco. The Governor then approached both candidates for Governor in the election cycle. Freeh did not want to commit to the post unless both candidates committed to it. The reports indicate Freeh did not wish his appointment to become a partisan issue.

The Republican Bret Schundler - agreed to the Freeh offer.

The Democrat James McGreevey did not and instead insisted that his man Golan Cipel be given the post and a $110,000 a year salary.

A report in the Trentonian this morning indicates that Cipel's only qualification that came anywhere close to having counter-terrorism credential was a very brief stint in the Israeli navy.

Freeh on the other hand had headed up the New York office of the FBI during the first bombing of the World Trade Center. He headed the investigation that led to the capture of the Unabomber, and was named FBI director by President Bill Clinton.

The incident of Freeh's offer and its snub by McGreevey again casts light onto the judgement of James McGreevey and was one of the reasons Republicans and Democrats alike are now calling for the Governor to step down immediately and pave the way for a special election November 2.

Yes, but they left out the part where Governor McGreevey volunteered to personally interrogate any particularly cute terrorism suspects.

Sean Hannity had DiFrancesco on his radio show yesterday with this story. McGreevey should be blindfolded and shot at dawn for putting our country and his state at risk like that.

Note to McGreevey: If you're going to launch a pre-emptive strike (resigning for homosexual reasons), it's best to have something in your back pocket on the off chance that you don't kill your target the first time.

McGreevey is going to rue the day....

They're the thought police. Evidently, they figure their advanced degrees (ala Jason Blair) provide them the brain power to know EXACTLY what WE need to know. Thank GOD for FR and the Alternate Media.

Louis Freeh as a homeland security officer? Cipel may well have been more qualified.

When DON IMUS the only radio talk show host who hammered the point home that the main threat of Golan Cipel is that HE IS A FOREIGN NATIONAL............. the something is wrong.

Rush?
Sean?
Anyone but Imus??? Yeah, Imus is a jerk most of the time, but I'll STILL listen to him if he occasionally is the only one making sense.

You think Rush or Sean are ever gonna' say "boo" to Israel, or in this case even say "ouch" when America's security is inflitrated by an Israeli mole?

They'll keep the story within the approved parameters ( salacious gay sex and typical Jersey corruption).

Someone should tell John Ashcroft that it is safe to come out from under the bed now as the spy is safely back in Israel.

I would hope they would at least say "boo".

Look, I am a Christian Zionist, but it still stinks that a FOREIGN NATIONAL is given the NJ Dept of Homeland Security job.

This was for NEW JERSEY!!!! You know, right next to NEW YORK!!!???

What? How dare you cast aspersions on his military service! He served honorably in the Israeli navy! Louis Freeh must be trying to distract us from the fact that HE didn't serve in the Israeli Navy -- or even the Israeli National Guard!

LOUIS FREEH IS A CHICKENHAWK! CHICKENHAWK! CHICKENHAWK! </sarcasm>

LOL!

And don't forget that the NY Times just called McGreevy "noble" for betraying his wife, misusuing state funds, and putting unqualified people into important offices...
