To be honest though, it's no surprise that a democrat in Texas would get nailed by the police over something like pulling up signs

Don't know if you heard about the ordeal Judge Sam Biscoe (D) is going thru, but he was arrested for DUI last week or so. The libs here are going crazy trying to defend him. Thanks slick willie, "It depends on what the definition of is is."

Since I'm being held hostage in District 18, I'd like to nominate the Representative from Mars as the next member to vacate her Capitol Hill office.....

A former Williamson county sheriff (county just outside of Travis/Austin, that is generally conservative) has a really bad habbit of being publicly intoxicated and/or stalking/harassing his ex-wife.

I wish I had saved it, they had an article last week quoting him saying something like "just when I didn't think I could go any lower, I managed to do it" or something along those lines. Amusing, yet sad. It probably wakes people up to the fact that while they maybe politicians, law enforcement/judicial, etc., they are still human and capable of doing stupid, immature, even dangerous stuff.

I heard about that last week when I was at a conference in Corpus Christi. Never had a chance to post it on FR. He has done some stupid things lately. The bad thing, is Williamson Co. is NOT where you want to get a DUI or anything like stalking/harassing anyone.

This is one of those races that just makes you feel ashamed. A Republican no one can stand running against a Democrat that's just repugnant. The true horror of this race is that these guys have identical personalities. Pettiness rules in this race.

I think Pete Sessions is a topgun, and have sent him money although I cannot vote for him.

Several years ago we were invited to a small private dinner that benefited AID's research. It was a pleasure to meet him and see him fighting for almost all of the points you bring up on your homesite.

Frost is a leftist rat.

There is no comparison.

Sorry, but I have to disagree there. I'm glad you like him though.

a candidate and his family should never pull one up unless it's on their own property

Amen. It there is no one who cares enough about your campaign to pull up your opponent's (illegal) signs, then you are going to lose anyway. I wouldn't out it past Frost to do this on purpose, but Democrat campaigns at that level often pay people to put up signs. It may be his paid folks put them all at the school because it was easy.

Remember that Frost was drafted by the Dems in NYC to move to Texas in the early 70's and take over a very safe Democratic district. The guy is a carperbagger and needs to move back to NYC.

I was only challenged once, when I was pulling up Lee Pee Brown signs when he was running for Major Perpetrator of Houston......some black fellow felt my activity was suspicious, but then I showed him the armload of other people's signs I was lugging around, and he was appeased.

When Bruce Tatro first ran for City Council in Houston, his operatives identified our neighborhood as a "have to have" precinct, and he paid some moron to come and surround -- literally surround -- our neighborhood with some 135 signs. I know, because I pulled up 129 of them, and I couldn't reach the rest because his morons had put them 15' up power poles. And some people had difficulty understanding why I always gave Tater Tot a hard time when I rose to speak of him at our civic club. Another time, when he showed up for the end of a public-comment meeting TNRCC was holding on the permitting of a grease-recycling facility (non-engineered, no less, to be built on residential land on a residential 2-lane street in Spring Branch with off-the-shelf grease-recycling equipment), and I met him as I was leaving the same meeting, I told him as I went by, "About time you got here!"

That guy was a classic case of the difference between a constituency and an audience, who were the Greater Houston Partnership / Chamber types Tatro will have been meeting with somewhere else while he was ditching most of his Spring Branch constituents' meeting.

I was only challenged once,

I find that I'm not really challenged so much, but people will pull up in their cars and start writing down my car license number. I walk over slowly and pull out my business card and offer the name and phone number of the constable or sheriff. They usually just drive away.

What most people do not know is Sessions son has Down Syndrome and he loves and protects him more than people know. He would never expose his son to anything like this. Just shows the Frost people are sick picking on a poor disabled kid.

Thanks for the ping.
This is one of the races worth fighting and praying for.

I wonder what ever happened to the video tapes of Frost's staffer walking out with the purloined redistricting map?

Yep! Go Pete !

I wonder what ever happened to the video tapes of Frost's staffer walking
out with the purloined redistricting map?

I don't know. I suppose the story's buried by the media? But I HOPE they get
to the bottom of that and they get prosecuted per the law.
