In bold headlines comes this 300,000 seeking 3,000 port jobs. Just what do they expect out here with the HUGE influx of illegals saturating the job market. What did they expect with a DemoCRAT run state for years which totally destroyed our ability to hold jobs in this State by unnecessary regulations. In the past, as now, tax us to death. Now we have Gov. Arnold, but what a fight. CRATS are still at it.
California is a perfect example of how DemoCRATS can ruin a great thing. We are the number one welfare State in the Union.
There's a reason that so many people are applying for those jobs: six-figure base pay plus all the stolen merchandise you can fence.
So these port jobs are somewhere in California... any other clues where???
100 applicants per position is about average for even an office job at entry level in most communities.
I can't understand why anyone would apply for a six figure job.

Are these longshoremens union jobs? Just curious. Once I was watching a big International ANSWER rally against Bush on TV and a couple of speakers were bigwigs in that union. I never heard such rabidly anti-American and outright communist babble from those jerks. I remember thinking, what the hell kind of union is that???
