Back in February, the three broadcast networks were obsessed with the story of President Bush's National Guard service. But in May, when John Kerry's former Navy colleagues from Vietnam went to the National Press Club to charge that Kerry's tales of heroism as a Swift Boat commander were highly exaggerated, those same networks acted as if their job was to bury the news, not report it.

Back on May 4, ABC and NBC ignored the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth's press conference, while CBS's Byron Pitts claimed the veterans had merely "unleashed decades of bitterness." His Evening News story ignored Kerry's record, but challenged his critics: "If you think this is just a concerned group of veterans, think again."

To further your statement -

The supposed Bush AWOL story has been countered by official records released by Bush. Media ignores.

Kerry's direct lies (on which he is basing his entire campaign and his credibility) are brought to light by a group (swiftvets) and Kerry offers no official documentation to prove his honesty.

Amazingly, Kerry could clear all questions over his honesty and integrity by simply releasing his military records. He refuses, thus begging the question - what else is he hiding in those records?

The lefties say that the Swift Boat vets did not serve with Kerry because they were not on the same boat, and therefore are not qualified to comment on his war record. What about this guy who's life Kerry saved? Was he on Kerry's boat? Nope.

The idea around which liberalism coheres is that NOTHING actually matters but PR. That means thatjournalists individually act like bullies

• they buy ink by the barrel, and they can attack anyone for fun and profit.
• but they are timid around anyone else who buys ink by the barrel - with them, all is sweetness and light and "can't we all just get along?"
• Liberals who are not journalists huddle fearfully in herd along with journalists - and are rewarded with PR indications of their "bravery" in doing so. "Going along to get along" with the socialists is the safe, gutless choice.

• The herd obviously needs a target to attack which is outside itself. The middle class, which cannot afford to buy off the herd - and the Republican Party which represents it - are easily smeared as "the rich." Journalism profits by doing a superficial, negative hatchet job on those who produce goods or ways of increasing the production of goods. Journalism naturally attacks the protection such people have. Denigrating the rights of the people who make the country work is the socialist project inherent in journalism.

And socialism is inherently based on the cheapest form of criticism, second guessing. Socialism proclaims that those who make "the means of production" are not entitled to any credit for it. Build a business that fails, and socialists don't want to know about it. Build a business that succeeds, and suddenly it is "means of production" for which you do not deserve credit (ownership) but are "evil rich" making "obscene profits." That is a second guess because the socialist doesn't make that call until after the failure or success occurs.

After he returned from Vietnam, Kerry trashed our boys as war criminals and claimed the South Vietnamese allies were shooting at him because they were drunk. This was the communist propaganda at the time. We were war criminals with unworthy corrupt allies.

Kerry is STILL trashing our allies. He calls all our allies in the Iraq war American stooges but prefers the French and Russians--Saddam's stooges.

Bush has build a coalition and prodded a lot of Middle Eastern countries into fighting terrorism.

Teresa Heinz Kerry says we should get used to terrorism like the Euros do. If they like terrorism, they can have it. I want Bush; he will fight.

Kerry said that the communists wouldn't kill many S. Vietnamese. They murdered lots. Kerry lied. Men died.
