I really was shocked when he asked me that question at first...

You did spectacularly well. My respect and admiration,

Lando

I personally think that Del's best quote was, "When I'm on my medications, I'm OK."

Chieftain, Veritas et equitas and Votum and OPbuzz

Thank You PING!

Everyone : We need to hammer in that John Kerry followed a
PROVEN phony Vietnam Vet from 1970-1972

Head of Kerry's Vietnam Vets Against the War was Vietnam Vet phony

Did one of VVAW's leaders lie about his military service in 1971?

Al Hubbard was an important leader in Vietnam Veterans Against the War. Hubbard had been an Air Force enlisted man who actually served. He felt that as a black man, with racism what it is in this country, he had to portray himself as an officer in order to get any respect (Overend, 589; Stacewicz, 293). This was wrong on his part, but he was a good man, and he worked hard for VVAW. VVAW forgave him for lying, but he shouldn't have done it. This one fact doesn't detract from the tens of thousands in VVAW who did not lie about their service and experiences. Hubbard's exposure (June 1971) came very shortly after Dewey Canyon III and shows how aggressively the Nixon administration scrutinized every member of VVAW. In the end, the Nixon's plumbers exposed only one guy whose records show that he actually served, more than any Chickenhawk in the current administration.

What is Senator John Kerry's relationship to VVAW?

Since Vietnam Veterans Against the War's inception in 1967, tens of thousands of vets, GIs and supporters have participated in and supported the actions of VVAW. One of those members in the early 1970s was John Kerry. Kerry was appointed to the VVAW Executive Committee to assist in preparing Dewey Canyon III, VVAW's limited incursion into the land of Congress in 1971 (Nicosia, 98-99). Kerry made his greatest contribution to the anti-war movement and to VVAW in his speech to the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations on April 23, 1971 (Brinkley, 371-373: Hunt, 109-110; Nicosia, 136-138; Wells, 495). Content of the speech is found at: http://lists.village.virginia.edu/sixties/HTML_docs/Resources/Primary/Manifestos/VVAW_Kerry_Senate.html.

By 1972, John Kerry had moved on from VVAW (Brinkley, 406: Hunt, 127-128; Nicosia, 211). He was not one of the original founding members of VVAW in 1967.

Did John Kerry state that US troops committed war crimes when he addressed the Foreign Relations Committee of the US Senate?

In his speech to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and in other speeches, Kerry summarized the findings of the Winter Soldier Investigation. (See text of Kerry's speech referenced above.) For a more detailed account of the relationship between the Winter Soldier Investigation and John Kerry, see

Thanks for going to that thing with me last night, buzz. You really made every thing come together so smooth. I feel great comfort in knowing that a good Devil Dog is there and has my back!

I sure hope Hanoi John comes near here again before November. I can't wait to go behind enemy lines again, ambush him like last night, and get right in his ugly puss and read him the riot act!

One suggestion, if you continue to go to these Vets For Kerry meetings and VVAW is there, DON'T WASH THE VEST so you won't be noticed.

A red, white and a blue star. I guess Kerry thinks he's
a "Patriotic War Hero" or something.

Did you hear he was in VietNam ??

Great report! I thank you so much!! And I've got to say, I have a picture of my husband in Viet Nam, hugging a puppy. Pretty standard fare, I'd wager.

I appreciated your observation about the far lefties. These anti-war, anti-Americans can't be happy with how Kerry has had to move to the center. Kerry people have to be worried about their reaction, now that Kerry has had to come forward and re-establish his "warrior" credentials.

Kerry wouldn't be speaking out against the Swifties if he weren't worried about the effect they're having, but you can bet he didn't want to have to address this.

Today in his speech he said of the Swifties, "they've been out there for a week". I think an intentional lie to hide the fact that he's refused to defend himself for over 3 weeks, not 1.

Great job, guys.

The Vietnam Phony contined.....

The following excerpt is from the FBI files concerning JFKerry and VVAW Dated January 27, 1972.

Attached reports a potential security informant of our Pittsburgh office advised he learned from an individual [REDACTED FOR ABOUT TWO SENTANCES THAN IT CONTINUES WITH] Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) [REDACTED FOR ABOUT HALF A SENTENCE] that there is complete dissatisfaction with the VVAW national office at New York City. There was even discussion regarding the possibility of killing Al Hubbard and Jon Birch of the national office. The Pittsburgh Office suggests the New York Office, with Bureau authority, consider advising these two persons that there may be an attempt on their lives.”
