well, the ULTIMATE irony is that Kerry, at least his presidential campaign, may well turn out to be the LAST casualty of Vietnam..

Interesting thought. Also ironic is O'Neill's involvement, a reliving of the debates of old, but which Kerry, unwisely, tried to treat as new.

Here's more irony. The swifties put their necks on the line for our country decades earlier and hung in there (& of course were trashed by Kerry (upon his return).

History is simply replaying itself (only in a slighlighty different order). Frank Burns Kerry is again trashing those guys (all the while they're putting their necks on the line again).
