Senator John Kerry stands on the front desk in the lobby of his hotel Real dignified and Presidential that. I'm sure the people who work there really appreached his big feet all over their desk. Probably scratched the daylights out of it too. Those desks are not designed to be walked on.

Just saw the coverage of Kerry's appearance on the local Charlotte news on WJZY. The videotape of him hopping up onto the registration desk at the Westin Hotel, butt first, and then struggling to his feet, was even dorkier looking than the still pics, if that's possible. Let's just say there was nothing spontaneous about this trick.
Of course, he had to scramble up onto the desk so he could be seen by the vast throng of admirers, right? The TV station estimated the crowd in the hotel lobby at... one hundred.
