You know, Kerry is always claiming that he has shrapnel still in his thigh. If that's true, then he should have problems going through metal detectors.
We used metal detectors all the time at the prison I worked at. If an inmate even had a stick of gum wrapped in aluminum in his pocket, it would set the machine off. I'd like to know if Kerry has to be checked with a hand scanner because his scrapnel sets off the detectors. I'm assuming that since 9/11, the metal detectors at the airports have been set to a higher sensitivity in order to catch weapons. Thus it would stand to reason that Kerry wouldn't be able to be processed normally through a detector.
