Since they were discussing/putting it down earlier in the show, I guess it's a possibility.

They talked about the NYT hit during the 7:00am-7:30am time frame. They hit the NYT hard.

He was on Jim Lehr last night with some condescending jerk from the Boston Globe, and Lehr was actually NEUTRAL on this topic.
(Note to Chrissy Matthews: come back to earth).

I can't help but think the relatively friendly media coverage of O'Neill is part of the Clinton's plan. Terry McCauliff is the one who first promoted the idea of Kerry as a war hero top set him up for a fall IMHO. Clinton must hate Kerry because at least Kerry wasn't a draft dodger.
The Clinton's must have known his medals were fraudulent.
Hillary does not want Kerry to win or she will never be President, so it is in the Clinton's interest to do Kerry in, IMHO.

If so, then the WaPo, NYT and the liberal media like Chrissy aren't going along with the plan.

What they do attempt to claim is that there was fire with he came back. We have eight different people on those four boats who say there was absolutely no fire. All the other officers there except john kerry. Also we have all the physical evidence. This is a little tiny canal, 75 yards wide, the boats were there an hour and a half, absolutely nobody wounded. Not a single bullet hole of any kind. The "new york times" of course ignores all of that, which is tragic. It's a tragic comment on that article on that paper. Brian: Douglas brinkley, with a book out right now about senator kerry, provided this quote, not in the book, from roy hoffman, who's a part of your organization against john kerry, he says that I'm not going to say anything negative about him, meaning the senator, he's a good man. They cite a few of these issues, john o'neil, where some of these people that are on your organization say he's unfit for command, have credited him.

Admiral hoffman is not a republican or democrat. There are 254 of us, we're all different stripes of pol belief and we certainly will accept funds from anyone. We don't have a george soros. E.D.: Senator kerry has called on president bush to ask you to stop running the ad. Will you stop running the ad?

>> Not a chance, we'd say forget it. For us, this is our experience in vietnam. We lost 51 people there, there were 15 of them or so killed while I was there. It's deeply personal and this guy lied about all of us and then lied about his own experience there. He passed through in a short period of time and we have an obligation to the american people. If it hurts bush, that's great F. It helps bush, that's great. Same way with kerry. But our obligation is to bring the truth to the american people spue we can tell our kids we did the best we could mike pike if the bush campaign contacted you and said my gosh, i think the ads are back firing and what you're going to get is senator kerry in the white house, kind of defeating your purpose.

If the american people make the decision knowing the information in the book "unfit for command" and the information on our web site, if they make the decision that they want john kerry to be the commander-in-chief of the united states, then we can live with that decision.
