Yes, indeed they have.
Kerry tries to counter impact of war criticism
excerpt:
Cutter sought to turn the argument over presidential readiness back on the White House. "Mr. McClellan needs to understand that John Kerry is not the type of leader who will sit and read `My Pet Goat' to a group of second graders while America is under attack," she said.
That was a reference to Sept. 11, 2001, when Bush remained in an elementary school classroom for several minutes after being informed by an aide that the World Trade Center had been hit.
*sigh*
For the first seven minutes, I don't think that anyone but Al Queda knew that we were under attack.
A 737 flies into a building. Should everybody have assumed we were under attack? No let's not panic- let's figure out what happened. Now if he'd sat around for seven minutes after the *second* strike, then the Commies might have a point.
Now- what *DID* Kerry do during that same period- and what *would* he have done if he'd been the President on that day?
I keep hearing the left moan about Bush continuing to read to the kids. I never hear them say what he should have done if he HAD sprung into action. For those seven minutes, who the heck knew for an absolute fact that it wasn't some kind of freak accident?

I've noticed that this is one hole that Kerry started
digging, and abruptly stopped.
He evidently forgot he was on the record as being "unable
to think" for a good 40 minutes after WTC2, even though
flight 77 was headed his way. Plus, he has yet to state
what he would have done in the 7 Bush minutes that would
have made any material difference.
