I love one feature of OO especially well: Export to PDF.
That's just too cool, especially for a free office suite.

AVG is the best AV software I've found. I ran it, Norton, and McAfee side by side for a month and AVG consistently found and cured virii that the other two either missed altogether, or found but couldn't fix. And AVG is free for personal use. Can't beat it.

Yeah, I found it probably 10 years ago and got addicted. It's got advantages over solitaire in that it actually requires you to think instead of merely react lol.

The new Winamp audio player is great! You can get the player and a bunch of different skin types for it here:
http://www.winamp.com
Also, I found the ultimate site for modifying your desktop...new themes, screensavers, icons, and cool colored/animated cursors. Lots of fun stuff to play around with at http://www.wincustomize.com

ditto on AVG,..although all the tech support these days seems to come from off-shore, opposite side of the globe, sweatshops in either Pakistan, India or South Africa and one cannot understand their variation on the English language.

I have AVG. I don't really see the need for tech support...Just set it to download the latest virus definitions once a week and you should be fine.
Just to be double secure, I also have Avast's free antivirus program. A little slower, but it catches what AVG misses.
Good stuff. ;)
