"but the creed was that we never spoke ill of another veteran. That ethic has been violated in this election, and it's pretty shameful-"

"According to the May 19, 1997, Viet Nam News, Searcy was part of a contingent of former members of VVAW, who came to Hanoi to honor Ho Chi Minh and to mark the 30th anniversary of VVAW's founding which fell on the North Vietnamese communist leader's birthday

Searcy was there to HONOR Ho Chi Minh? Hmmm.... imagine a republican living in Germany who honors the birthday of Hitler, selling pro-Bush shirts. Think he's get such a loving backrub from the press?

Searcy sounds like the kind of guy Kerry had a phone number for in his Rolodex. I wonder, if like Mr. Rood, sKerry gave Searcy a call, too. Look out, J.F'n.Kerry may have an old friend or two in Havanna he can call upon, too!

I hope Kerry has to extract this bullet from his foot, having called on one of his traitorous pals from his still-warmed-over VVAW list--still in Hanoi, should anyone be unclear about his loyalties. (I wonder if he's collecting a pension from them!) This is an implicit reaffirmation of Kerry's 1971-era anti-US comments. Kerry's long-festering treason needs to be scraped out once and for all.
