Sen. John Kerry's campaign released a video Saturday comparing the controversy over Kerry's Vietnam service to attacks on John McCain during the 2000 Republican primaries.

One of the POWS in the second Swift Vet ad released yesterday was the Virginia chairman of "McCain for President 2000".

ANd McCain is silent; McCain is allowing his fellow-POW to be referred to as a "Fringe Vet" in McCain's own words. McCain's silence on this use of him in Kerry's ad is alarming at best. If McCain doesn't stand up for his fellow-POWs, then McCain is complicit in the continued slander of Viet Vets. Its his choise, which side will he chose? If he doesn't speak out by tomorrow we will know the answer.

You all have probably already found this but I thought I'd repost it anyway:

"The Democratic Party is partnering with MoveOn.org, People for the American Way, Campaign for America's Future, and dozens of other groups representing millions of Americans to organize a massive public mobilization. On Wednesday, May 14, join us by calling and emailing your representatives in Congress to let them know that the majority of Americans oppose more irresponsible tax cuts that go overwhelmingly to the wealthiest sliver of Americans."

Message sent by Democratic Party Women’s Vote Center in May, 2004.
