I'd say that love of family and interest in maintaining healthy conditions for the family unit transcend religious conviction or the lackthereof.

That was kind of suprising...I heard (at least part) of the appearance when it
was played on the Focus On The Family radio show recently.

I didn't actually see the event in question but I think the NPC allows its facilities to be used by other groups. So the audicence wouldn't necessarily be NPC members.
