Many of those men that Kerry cited for having been in Viet Nam and seeing or committing atrocities turned out to NOT have been vets at all.

This can of worms is only slowly opening.

I heard George Will mention the documentary that's coming out. Coincidently, I was called by David (was that his first name?) Bossie, and asked to donate to a documentary he is making to refute Kerry and I think also, 9-ll. Anyway, I was HAPPY to donate 25.00 of my husband's hard earned pay.

and this documentary might be shown at the same time as the Republican Convention.

I still wish we could find the original investigation of the Winter Soldiers...the one that found many of those testifying had falsely identified themselves as soldiers in Vietnam. I don't even know if it was a news article or what...wish we could dig it up.

I watched O'Neill v Podesta on ABC...gave a report on the Sunday Morning thread....posted it to SuzanneC.

Going away, I've got to say how weak Podesta was, AND....how it must look to voters that Kerry did not put one of his Band of Brothers to be on the Steph show this morning. By now, even casual observers must question why Kerry doesn't let them speak. In fact, I believe it was Byron York who wrote that none of his 'brothers' are allowed to speak to the media without permission from the Kerry campaign.

McCain's wounds during the 2002 campaign were ALL self inflicted.

He threatened and intimidated vets who questioned his commitment to the POW families and then he bashed the Christian Coalition.

And that's the true definition of self inflicted wounds.

Stephanopoulos was, by far, the fairest interviewer yet.

Whether it's the Clinton connection or his own savvy as to what's happening to Kerry, he did let the Vet position be heard and didn't allow the kind of talkover that the Dems usually do.

It was true on the segment about the economy also.

Thank you. But you know...I was so stupid....I called the title of john kerry's book, THE NEW SOLDIER, the wrong title. I wrote it as 'Tour of Duty' and was corrected a few post beyond my post. And well I should have been. DUH!

I am STILL very suspicious that our press corp has not brought up this book and asked the questions that NEED TO BE ASKED.

As in--WHY on the cover of that book is the AMERICAN FLY FLYING UPSIDE DOWN!

It is written by john kerry along with the anti-war vietnam vets.

Ignoring this book and kerry's life long assault upon our military means our press corp in the major networks are willing to put our nation ar risk, stifle a full debate of john kerry, keep many uninformed as to his anti-military actions over his entire career, and all just to get their pet, their democrat in office.

I dispise them for this.

Tom Brokaw should be holding that book aloft, saying kerry stopped the printing presses on it, and WHY!

We are AMERICANS. We depend on our press corp organizations to give us the full story....warts and all.

IS THERE ANY DOUBT THAT IF PRESIDENT BUSH HAS WRITTEN SUCH A SMEARING BOOK REGARDING OUR MILITARY THAT IT WOULD BE BRANDISHED BY TOM, PETER, DAN, WOLFIE, TIMMY etc
