"Iraq's second coach, who filled the gap left behind when German manager Bernd Stange left the team due to security concerns, told SI.com that he believed US occupation forces destroyed everything in his country."
So it's the coaches who are indoctrinating these kids.

We should FedEx the team concrete soccer balls, iron maidens, and cattle prods if they lose...
To: Rennes Templar
That's discouraging to hear, I was rooting for them.

"The American army has killed so many people in Iraq."
Yeah...how bout them Marines! Good job, men! Let's hope these terrorist punks join the resistance when the Olympics are over and our boys throw a surprise victory celebration for them complete with 72 virgins.

Wow. Iraq's soccer team only has two players?
That's pretty impressive. Portugal and Costa Rica must SUCK!

Iraqi football players, who have performed exceptionally well at the Olympics, are cautioning President George Bush not to use their success in his re-election campaignOr what?
To: Rennes Templar
Makes you realize how hopeless it is to try and help islamicics. I think they'd rather be tortured from their own kind for losing than excelling under our help.

hey, if they don't win the gold, maybe we can use some of that torture equipment that Uday and Qusay used on other iraqi athletes who failed to win. then perhaps his opinion of the US and Bush will change.

Perhaps these players would like to go back to their old system. You know? The one where, when the Iraqis don't get gold, they get shoved into wood chipping machines feet first.
To: Rennes Templar
How soon they forget...Maybe we should just leave and let see how they make it to the next Olympics. It is unbelievable with all they were tortured, under the former regime, that they would not even take time to say thank you. And who but President Bush's AF will fly the ungrateful sons of islam back to there little hell hole? Makes ya wonder...what goes around comes around. If they would have stood up and fought for there own freedom it wouldn't be with the blood and lives of American soldiers and the coalition, who saved them.....poor pitiful souls.

Course some of this might be propaganda to show that the Iraqi success at the Olympics isn't US-bought.
To: Rennes Templar
It wouldn't surprise me if some team members with family links to terrorism or sympathy to terrorism are causing the rest of the team to not speak out.

What is freedom when I go to the [national] stadium and there are shootings on the road?"
This dude has a short memory. Last I heard, they used to hold public executions in the stadiums. Those were his good old days.

I do not know when I have been so angry.
President Bush represents the American people with whom they supposedly have no problem. He represents the men whose blood was and is being spilled to prevent Saddam and Sons from torturing the Iraqi Olympians.
If he misses his elite status perhaps we can get him some of it in Palestine where he can spill his life for the virgin class.
Those people deserve not one drop of American blood any more than one penny of American currency!
I would gladly let Iran take them over and arm Israel for their own defense.
I hope this revolts Americans thoroughly.

"He has committed so many crimes." President Bush? Sure gets around a lot doesn't he? He's either in Crawford "Vacationing" or in Falluja committing atrocities. It's a wonder he finds the time to campaign.

I think the biggest mistake we made in Iraq is assuming that everyone in the world wants western-style democracy. The lesson, as it turns out, it that some people are in dire need of being oppressed.

According to Sports Illustrated, one of Manajid's cousin was a resistance fighter who was killed by US occupation forces.
This shows SI's slant best of all. This sentence is not a quote of a player, it's telling SI's view; that the U.S. is an occupying force, not a liberating one, and that the terrorist bastards are merely the resistance to the awful Americans.
